Peaceful getaway
Enjoyed a lovely break at the cottage, the place was charming and had everything we needed (and more) to relax, cook and explore. The property was clean and the owners were very helpful (directing us at the last few minutes of the drive and taking us through the stay when we arrived). Really enjoyed the hot tub, which was electric and ready to use whenever we wanted. 25-30 minutes drive to local towns through gorgeous scenery. Would love to come back when it’s snowy as we were hoping to ski. Overall a relaxing few days to reset!

Right lets get the negative out the way first - we like to use a hot tub about 3 time a day but this poor little hot tub located at the end of the garden over looking some lovley hills just could not stay hot enough for me so we had to do with just 2 visits to it each day to lit it heat up each time. THE POSITIVES and there are many; The location is great when you first see the cottage you think its next door to another building but once in the cottage and walking around the garden its like being in the middle of no wear or near the end of a nice Scottish glen - which you are. Bob the owner was there to show us around where things where and how they worked - all done at a safe 2 meters. Plus where the chickens were, it was great having a fresh egg or 2 each day. You get a book to read and you are best reading it as it helps. We went to set the table for dinner and could not find plates or forks and knifes (they where in the washing machine as it said in the book). You got everything you could want in the kitchen and more tea, coffee and sugar. Cooking oil and tinfoil and kitchen paper and lots more, O even a slow cooker and mixing machine 'Ken Wood Chef' the table had a nice bottle of wine with glasses read for you what a treat that was thank you Bob. The cottage was nice and hot sometimes to hot for us and we only have coal fire heating at home. A TV in each room for that late get out of bed so you could catch up on news ( with a DVD player as well) Some fantisc walks to go on just right out side you door. It was so nice to do as I can at home and look through the window when having my breakfast and watch the birds eating theirs (right outside the window next to the table is a birds feeder that is filled with nut) a woodpecker came as well as robins, coal & blue tits, sparrows and black birds. All in all we had a great time away from the rat race (the internet was better than the internet BT gives us at home) A very nice holiday cottage, worth every penny thank you very much Bob for a lovely stay Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
