Fall Family Vacation
The house was exactly what was needed for the 9 of us! Very spacious and extra clean! Only thoughts for the owner are would be nice if fire pit didn’t have cigarette butts and more rugs to help with echoing and creaky floors would be nice. But we don’t have any complaints and would book again if the occasion came up!

Best of the best!
This is by far the best experience we have had with vacation rentals! This home comes with literally everything you will need! You could arrive with a suitcase of clothes and food and be set for your stay! Plenty of towels and linens , kitchen gadgets( full kitchen- crock pot- toaster - pots/pans, dishes, endless utensils, coffee maker with coffee!etc), soap, shampoo, body wash, extra toiletries incase you forget yours, cleaning supplies to tidy up your messes ( as the home was spotless)! The location is prime and perfect! We enjoyed kayaking, fishing and the beach( a 60 second walk from the house). Backyard was perfect for young ones, swing set , large lawn and games inside and out to keep all occupied.House is super spacious, very clean, well stocked and a great view on the back porch to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun rises. Super easy to locate the house as well! Host and neighbours were so kind and welcoming! I would highly recommend visiting, you will not be disappointed!! 15/10!

Great getaway!
We have been to big bass lake for about 5 years and enjoyed it- but we needed a larger space and a 2nd bathroom- this home did not disappoint! Very clean, had plently of items that we brought (just in case) that we never needed due to the accuracy of the listing. Host was amazing and always responded in a prompt manner when asking a question. We would highly recommend and may come back next year schedules permitting!

Peaceful retreat
Every year my husband, and I with our 3 boys (16,12,8 yrs) my parents and my grandma take a vacation. This year we chose Big Bass Lake. It was by far the most relaxing time we've had. The cabin was very spacious, and clean. Theres not a whole lot to do within 30 miles, so if your a person that likes to run into town daily this may not be the place for you. However it was perfect for us. (We did go into Ludington and Manistee for a few hours during the rainy/gloomy times). This was our first vacation where we didnt want to go home 🙃 The lake is a no wake from 7pm- 11am so nights and mornings were quiet and were great on the kayaks. We took our boat and docked it durning the day the kids had a blast at the beach area, along with tubing and fishing. Lots of wildlife everywhere, it was awesome. Seen some things we've never seen before. If we went to the same place every year we'd definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

My husband and I have lived in the area for around 30 years and have spent those years investing and encouraging business development. I am the Executive Director of our local Non-Profit Tourism and Business Development Organization and fully enjoy seeing our area prosper. We have a few vacation rental homes that I manage and I am also a REALTOR and Property Manager for Big River Properties . We also operate a small motel- The Black Bear Inn, an apartment building, an automotive repair facility, and a handful of long term rentals. We have three children who help us (even when they don't want to) run these businesses and hopefully one day will share our passion for creating economic development in rural areas.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this home in 2015 and fully renovated it ourselves from start to finish. Each item in this home was hand picked by us! It was so much fun to renovate and decorate this cottage. We love it here and hope you do too! Every year we hope to add more and more to make this cottage the perfect lake home! Check back often to see our new additions!

What makes this property unique

This home is on the Big Island of Big Bass Lake. The island is large enough that you don't feel like you're on one- but technically- you are! There's basically water all around you and the water on Bass Lake is just beautiful. The sandy bottom lake has many shallow spots that make great swimming areas. The water is crystal clear and clean! Big Bass Lake is an "All Sports Lake" which means your jet skis, speed boats, and pontoon boats are welcome! Docking Fee required.
