This 1400 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home boasts a magnificent WRAP-AROUND LANAI with an unobstructed oceanfront view encompassing the islands of Molokai & Lanai. The second floor location is ideal for watching whales, viewing Kahana Bay or enjoying an evening beverage while watching a magnificent Maui sunset. This home is on the buildings quiet side, allowing you to enjoy the sounds of the ocean, while relaxing on the lanai or in the master suite.

Each bedroom features an en suite bath and separate vanity area. There is also a fully updated half bath adjacent to the living area.

The Royal Kahana Resort is located on the beautiful West Coast of Maui in Kahana and is surrounded by Maui's spectacular natural beauty. The lobby has an on-sight CONCIERGE DESK located in the large sitting area, enabling you to book all your fun activities! Lounge at the oceanfront pool deck, barbecue poolside, or whale watch from the private lanais (in season). Our unit is an excellent choice for families or couples wanting a comfortable unit with great views and amenities, and most importantly-value!

Just steps away awaits an ocean of recreation. With our prime oceanfront location, the Royal Kahana offers swimming, snorkeling, & wave paddling in the sparkling Pacific waters that splash its shoreline, just a quick ride down the elevator & out the lobby door. You can swim in the pool or sun yourself on the deck, or on the spacious lawn fronting the building.

Dan and I represent several homes at the Royal Kahana, this particular home is owned by a dear friend, Heidi.

*Beach information
The resort is oceanfront. The beach along West Maui can narrow drastically during months of October into April a result of northern ocean swells. Sand is then returned naturally with prevailing southern swells.

Great place to stay

Aloha, we stayed in the condo with another couple, we are from Australia and they are from Canada. We arrived first and found all the staff at the Royal Kahana friendly and easy to deal with. The digital lock on the front door of the condo made it easy for us all to come and go without having to worry about who had keys etc. The parking spaces are a bit tight so if you are hiring a car don't get anything too large but we found this problem all over the island. The building and grounds are well maintained and you can see they are trying very hard to repair the damage from the recent storms. I was pleased to see that the BBQ and pool were cleaned each morning. Yes the condo is a bit dated but we are only staying there not buying it so this is irrelevant. The condo is extremely clean, I was impressed how clean the windows were being so close to the ocean and carpets are in good condition, beds are soft and the pillows were bit hard for my liking but that is a minor thing. There is plenty of room for 4 adults to spread out and all have somewhere comfortable to sit, whether it was inside or out. We spent most of our time outside on the lanai either watching for whales or turtles or at night watching the moon and stars. We saw all of these, with whale sightings on 3 days. The location is great with easy access to several good restaurants, our favorites were, The Seahouse a few minutes north fantastic views and Dukes a couple of minutes south also the Maui Brewing company across the road. We cooked or had BBQ's and there are a couple of supermarkets near by if you go to safeway join up as a member and you will save a lot, the times supermarket down the road was also well priced and had a good range. Even the little shop in the gas station across the road had a good range of necessities. The kitchen had most things we needed to prepare meals, could do with a strainer, a cork screw and few cleaning items. The only maintenance we found we had an issue with was the sliding glass and and screen doors didn't glide easily, the screen door by the dining table came off the track. The condo is private and quiet and you aren't overlooked by anyone. There are plenty of towels and beach towels for everyone. Would have no hesitation in recommending this condo and found Shelly and Dan easy to deal with, thanks for making our holiday a success.

Waves, sun and palm trees

This is a lovely waterfront unit on the second floor, so that you actually feel you are sitting and sleeping on the beach. The wrap around deck was amazing. It was very clean, beds quite comfortable. The entire unit is spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked. The building seems to once have been a resort, and now appears to be all rental units. It was well organized with helpful security for a late check in. The location is convenient for this part of Maui. The drive through Lahaina is, of course, routed on the highway, and the drive to Kahalui is 45m - 1hr. You pay for parking. For our stay it was $18/night. But parking is close to the building.

My husband Dan and I began managing our family homes (5) at the Royal Kahana in the summer of 2013. My family has been owners at the Royal Kahana in since the mid 70's, shortly after the resort was built. Soon after we began managing the homes, several friends asked us to represent theirs. We now represent 11 homes at the Royal Kahana.

We have had others ask if we would work with them on their homes at other resorts and we have declined. We love the Royal Kahana, are very familiar with the property and feel we can best serve our clients and guests by focusing on this amazing resort.

The Royal Kahana location allows guests to enjoy the dining and night life of the historic whaling town of Lahaina, the world famous beaches, shops and restaurants of Kaanapali, or the more upscale spas, shopping and dining of Kapalua. All within a 10 minute drive.

The Royal Kahana Resort has lush, tropical landscaping, with banana, palm, and papaya trees surrounding lovely flower gardens and a beautiful pool area.

*The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beach’s physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. Our homeowners Assoc., The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential.

This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance.
