A fantastic base for Rochester visitors
I was in town for a bit more than 2 weeks for a fellowship at the Strong Museum of Play. I needed a place within walking distance and with a good kitchen (instead of having to go out to eat all the time). This place fit my needs to the letter. I walked everywhere I needed to go - I only needed to use Instacart for two grocery deliveries. I was so happy to be somewhere that was walking friendly and had great privacy and plenty of space. The apartment had everything I needed to cook, do laundry, and just feel comfortable after a long day of research. Margaret was an excellent host who left me to my own devices. I hope to come back to Rochester again and if I do, I would absolutely stay here again.

Adorable Apartment
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The neighborhood was lovely and close to everything. The apartment was very sweet, clean, decorated nicely and well appointed. Our biggest complaint was the bed - it was hard and uncomfortable, nothing a topper couldn’t resolve. I really appreciated the approach of the host - there if we needed her, but gave us our space and didn’t overwhelm us with information, rules, check-in and -out instructions.

Nice place close to downtown Rochester
Spacious 1 bedroom apartment in a cool old house in a quiet neighborhood. Great WiFi made working from there easy. Close to downtown (walkable) and easy freeway access. Stayed here to work remotely during the week. Would recommend this place.

Perfect little apartment
I came to town for two nights to visit my son at college. This was the perfect place to stay, I even was able to make dinner for my son and his friends. Comfortable and spacious. I’d 100% stay there again.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property because I love both history and community. This historic neighborhood, unique for the annual 2-day Corn Hill Arts and Music Festival, and the annual Tour of Historic Homes has a dynamic and active association, board of directors and numerous committees of devoted volunteers who keep this neighborhood thriving.
Profits from these memorable events fund close to 12 active committees dedicated to the prosperity, safety and community of our residents. This is a neighborhood where opportunities for connections and active involvement abound. Folks from blocks away may meet at a committee meeting or at one of the monthly social activities sponsored by the Social Committee or one of the frequent gatherings hosted by neighbors, and become best friends! Our goal is to renew the spirit of the Victorian Era, when neighbors knew each other and rested in the comfort of knowing there is support and aid during times of need and joy. We see these stories play out time and time again in Corn Hill. Please check out our website at cornhill.org
