Linens & Towels provided.

Garage access off the laundry room - Fits 1 large SUV or 2 small compact cars.
2 parking spots outside - one against garage, one along side of house. Street parking is also available.

7 min drive to Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) - rock concerts, ballet, opera, classical concerts, folk music, jazz music weekend...wonderful venue!

17 min drive to Ballston Spa where Antique shopping abounds. Great lunch spots. Next Door Cafe is outstanding for dinner. Henry’s Pub is great for a burger and beer, Pizza Works is my favorite quick pizza locale, and other restaurants are there to wet your whistle.

20 min drive to Saratoga Lake and the Kayak Shack (Route 67). Rent Kayaks and paddle up or down the river.Harvest and Hearth restaurant right next to the Kayak Shack with a casual bar and food. Superb at sunset over the Fishkill
15 minute drive to the Saratoga Casino. Gamble on the slots, cards, roulette tables. Vapor nightclub is also here to dance the night away.

Lake George is a great day trip North. Outlet stores, “Million Dollar” beach, hiking, shopping, mini-golf, arcades, boat rides, restaurants. 30 to 40 min drive depending upon your destination.

20 min drive to the historical Saratoga Battle grounds. Unique history, walking trails, popular with bicyclists, or simply drive the loop. Wonderful nature and history.

Mid- Century Dream

We loved the mid century furnishings in Lydia's Cottage. It was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the front porch. We liked walking though the Beekman Street Arts District on our way downtown. My 3 year old nephew enjoyed the playground. We hope to stay again.

The house was exactly as called out in VRBO, great location with a very responsive host, very clean and well decorated. There was a very moist smell in the house each time we entered. The yard was not cut, not allowing us to bring over friends small children. The host requested we do a bit of cleaning prior to leaving, that was a bit shocking knowing we paid a cleaning fee. Would recommend the host house directions be put in a more positive spin.

This modernized cottage is my home! I love hosting visitors to experience Saratoga Springs. My background is visual arts and design with a passion for travel. France was my adoptive country for 14 years.

Why they chose this property

Set in a sweet little residential community dowtown Saratoga, the Cottage is located a short distance to Broadway (3 blocks away!) restaurants, shopping, bars, Congress Park, historical buildings (Canfield Casino). 5 minute walk to Beekman Street, known as the “Art District,” and it’s restaurants, shops, and bars. The Cottage with enclosed lawn and porch is a lovely space to relax. Saratoga Thoroughbred Race Track and Casino are a quick drive or Uber/Lift.

What makes this property unique

The Cottage is located on a corner lot and the house is set back. Neighbors and passersby cannot look directly in on 3 sides. This provides a wonderful sense of privacy and quiet.

Public parking is not allowed directly in front of house or along one side street….another level of privacy.

Large lawn and gardens wrap in front of home and along side one side…. affording a lovely sense of space.

New walnut floors in living room and dining room. Upgrade appliances. Modern decor. Kept very clean.
