Cozy Getaway!

The house and farm were so charming and beautiful. The perfect spot to just unwind with a cup of coffee and a good book out on the patio. Christine was wonderful to work with, she was so accommodating for us and our two dogs. We only wish we had more time there! We’ll definitely be back!

Loved our stay at Serenity Cottage

The grounds were relaxing and serene. The cottage was quaint and had all the amenities we wanted. We had a well appointed kitchen, an outdoor grill, a beautiful porch for sipping my morning coffee, comfortable beds, fireflies at dusk (not in the house :)), mature trees, a very friendly cat, a garage to park the car in. Our host was super-communicative throughout the whole process, start to finish. We highly recommend this property. Thanks Christine!

Perfect Peace

This property could not have a more fitting name. From the time i stepped foot outside of my car, the beautyl and serenity of the property caused every vestige of stress to dissipate. From the front porch (and swing) and the back patio, to the beautiful hard wood floors and claw-foot tub, no guest could want for anything. Christine was the perfect host—even helping me charge my rental car when it wouldn’t start! (LOL) I will definitely visit this property again, if for no other reason than to sit on the porch and listen to the birds, then go to the back patio to watch the horses amble by.

So beautiful, it’s hard to leave!

We had a wedding in Humboldt which is 7 min away and this was the perfect location. The listing is even better than the pictures which were very good. Everything you could possibly need is there, little touches of comfort everywhere, horses out the back window, beautiful art, antiques and decor that will have you snapping pictures to copy the great ideas. Christine was a wonderful host! We had the best time with our family at the property and enjoyed having some extended family over by the fire! Our dog absolutely loved the land and playing with Lincoln! Couldn’t recommend a better place for anyone to stay! Quiet, peaceful and just wonderful!

Tennessee Hospitality!

Truly loved staying at Christine’s country house. My brother and I loved the country setting. Unfortunately, Christine would not sell us her house though we tried. We loved her decor. The kitchen has most everything that you would need and then more! We really like having an enclosed garage to house our motorcycles. Best of all, we had the chance to visit with Christine at length over coffee! Nice lady! Highly recommend you book your stay with Christine if you plan to be in the area!

Came into town for a dogshow. We thought we were bringing more then less. Didn’t find out until we were actually there how much the charge was so I was a little surprised I owed several hundred more on the rental. My fault, I checked for dog friendly thinking it would include pet fee. Not sure why there is a steep pet fee when dogs were crated but hey....

I am a high energy person that after 40 years of living and traveling all over the USA and world have decided to move back home to connect with my roots and most importantly be near my 4 sisters and mom. I bought a small 8 acre 30 year old horse farm and made it comfortable for travelers like me. I'm a master gardener, licensed auctioneer and global sales and marketing consultant ( as my real job!). I love hosting on this property so that others can appreciate it as much as I do. I have met the most amazing people who would never dream of staying in a place like this and many have become repeat guests and friends. Business travelers, artists, musicians and entrepreneurs have become frequents. Over a 1000 guests since 2016. Please visit us. We look forward to hosting you!

Why they chose this property

I bought it at the entry before even seeing the inside of the farm house. The farmer who built this place and the only owner before I, did an amazing job cutting out the trees on the property. It was a high quality build at the time and one of the few properties on this road originally. Everything has been replaced at this point and the neatest things kept including the old farm tub and the mantel, both over 100 years old. Many of the trees on this property are over 100 years old and the previous owner had jars of arrowheads he found on the property. Incredible history as Indian hunting grounds.
It is minutes from both Humboldt proper and Jackson. Travel down a back country road to get to both of them with ease as well as getting on I-40 for your continued travels.

What makes this property unique

There is a replica of the largest reported Eagles Nest in the United States on the property. It is used for bird watching, sunset viewing and private yoga sessions. If you are interested in any of those items let me know. As well, a vintage merry-go-round for fun and a picnic table are located near the Eagles Nest. Eagles, hawks, owls and many bird of prey reside in the area. Great area for bird watching or just enjoying nature in general. Just listen, close your eyes and enjoy the sounds. Then open them. It's beautiful here and massages all your senses. By the way, massage therapists on call as well. Book ahead of course to secure an appointment. All of the animals here are rescues including the horses, barn cats and dog. Great stories behind each. Look forward to sharing this place with you.
