This home is located minutes from the heart of Corolla and steps to the beach access. The owners have thought of everything to make sure your time spent on the Outer Banks is unforgettable. When you’re ready for a break from the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower, then spend some in the hot tub or take a dip in the pool. There's plenty of deck space to lounge around and take in the ocean views. The kitchen is large enough for multiple cooks and equipped to enhance the best chefs in the family featuring lots of cabinet space with multiple pantries, two oven/microwave combos, two dishwashers, two 36" cooktops with hoods, and two sinks with disposals, as well as a commercial size refrigerator and freezer.

A major remodel was completed in 2022 including the addition of 6 bedrooms, 5 ½ baths, and Rec Room. Upgrades to interior finishes include a Kitchen renovation and new luxury plank flooring in the Great Room. Exterior upgrades include new paint, the addition of a second hot tub and expanded front deck.

Whalehead Beach is a popular oceanside subdivision with large half acre lots giving the feeling of spaciousness that vacationers love. Whalehead is close to bike trails, shopping, kids’ activities, groceries, world class restaurants and area attractions including the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Center for Wildlife Education, Corolla Village and the Corolla Wild Horses.

Great place for a Wedding

Nice location, not very clean

We had a good experience. Really liked the top floor area. The property was not very clean when we arrived. Also we were missing a shower curtain in the top master bedroom. After several attempts to have one delivered from the rental company, we had to purchase one.

Very Dissatisfied

The property was not kept up and was not clean. Anyone who did not wear shoes had black feet. Kids had to have their feet washed and made to wear shoes indoors ...and this was initially upon arriving. Dishes and cookwear had crumbs allover and inside cupboards. Had to prewash anything we wanted to use. Lacked enough pots and pans. No slow cooker. Coffeepot felt like someone poured grease in it. Stove light half hanging. Smoke alarms went off 2 nights in a row throughout the night, scaring the kids and waking everyone up. Upon speaking to maintenance, we were told to take batteries out until they could resolve the issue. Batteries were removed from multiple alarms and it didn't even resolve the issue and continued to go off in the middle if the night. Apparently upon our arrival, my husband said they were working on the alarms, so this was already an issue before we even got there. Pool had green algae in it upon our arrival. Husband had to call to have it treated. This was beyond upsetting considering the price we paid to stay there. We have used other companies on 3 other prior trips to outerbanks and had wonderful, clean and well stocked facilities for half the cost. The site states there is a game room, when there isn't one. All it is is a tv and couch with puzzles on 1st floor. The other places we stayed had true game rooms with Foosball table, pool table. Broken bikes, strollers and junk left on property under outdoor steps. Terribly managed!

Whalehead beach house

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was lively and well located within 23 min of each access. The house could use some area rugs to dampen the sound in a very large main area and some more lounge seating as it accommodates a lot of people. Great dining table and kitchen. Could use some larger pots pans for cooking for large crowds. House was not completely cleaned upon arrival and beach realty did not respond to requests to complete cleaning. We had some trouble with communication with beach realty regarding propane refill and some appliance difficulties. Overall though we had a great stay.

Beautifully renovated spacious house!

This one is different - beautifully renovated in all gray, blues and white. No musty small or old carpets. I highly recommend this house. Also, so many bed- and bathrooms for a large family or group of friends. Efficient use of space. Great management company and perfect location. Everyone in our group of 20 were very happy!
