Cozy Lakefront Cottage | 2.5hrs from GTA & Ottawa

Welcome to the Hali Hangout! Located on 1.8 acres of forest & trees, a long & windy driveway will lead you to our cottage. Nestled at the water's edge, overlooking the beautiful Benoir Lake. The lake can be accessed from our dock or sandy shore (great for little kids!)

We are located 2.5hrs away from the GTA, 30 mins to both Bancroft and Haliburton. We love spending time up here and hope you will make great memories with family & friends here too!

Cottage rental review

Cottage we rented was advertised as non-smoking but had an overwhelming smell of old stale smoke from decades of being smoked in. For the price, the cottage was also very b basic. The recent increase in prices for cottages through VRBO as well as the hefty VRBO fees has made us think twice about using your service again.

Great stay at the Hali Hangout

This is a family friendly cottage with a lovely lakefront, dock and mini-beach great for toddlers. Cottage is nicely appointed. Wonderful view of the lake. Particularly nice of the owner to provide so many beach and bath towels and facecloths. Cottage is well set back from the road and was very quiet. Wifi was superb and we streamed movies no problem. Only thing we missed was a microwave. Enjoyed the kayaks and swimming immensely. Maynooth and Bancroft about a 30 minutes drive away but there is a store for most basic provisions 10 minutes down Elephant Lake Road. The southern tip of Algonquin Park is not far and there is an outfitter at the end of Benoir Lake, a 20 minute paddle away. Thank you Charlotte for a great stay.

Just what we needed

Amazing cottage! Lake is clean & warm. Cottage has everything you need and more. Next visit I would rent a canoe from Deep Roots Adventures. We hiked at a couple of trails near by. The property manager Charlotte was a pleasure to deal with. Great property to unwind and relax. Would go back again 100%.
