Welcome to The Boise Cottage!

Enjoy a cozy and romantic picnic in the back yard truck bed lounge area, fire pit, and horseshoes.

You've discovered a hidden gem of a home to stay at in Boise Idaho. Located conveniently off of Whitewater Park BLVD, you are in walking distance of Bernardine Quinn Riverside Park (Known by locals as Quinns Pond), Esther Simplot park and pond, The Boise River, and the Green belt which is great for walking or biking to and from multiple parks and restaurants.

Upon hassle free entry with a door code, you'll be transported into a relaxing feeling of being home. Just beyond the entryway room you'll step into the main living spaces that include a living room with cozy furnishings, and a smart TV. The kitchen is lightly stocked with pots and pans, cooking and dining utensils, a teapot, serving dishes, mixing bowls, Tupperware, new fridge/freezer, stove/oven and microwave appliances, a Keurig machine, plates, cups, mugs & bowls.

The layout of bedrooms includes:

1 bedroom with one queen over queen sized bunk bed

1 master bedroom with a king sized bed

The home has it's own laundry room

No garage access.

Neighbors: This rental home is in a quiet neighborhood so we ask for your help in respecting the friendly neighbors by not hosting parties of any sort and keeping music and noise quiet after 10pm each night. This helps our neighbors stay enthusiastic about our rental services.

Smoking, vaping or the use of any recreational drugs is strictly prohibited anywhere within or upon the premise of the property. We do not allow any house parties in our homes out of respect for neighbors and the protection of our beautiful homes. We pride ourselves in being a company that offers a pet friendly place at many of our properties please see our pet policy below

Pet Policy:

Please note that we do have an additional pet fee to help protect against the natural wear and tear it causes to our properties by allowing pets. If your furry friends are accompanying you for your stay, we do allow up to 2 dogs and charge a pet fee of $50 for 1 dog or $115 for 2 dogs. This fee is required and is paid after booking is complete when you register your pet on our digital check-in, please note pet fees do not cover any damages or accidents caused by your pets.

Failure to comply with the pet fee, smoking/drug policy and unauthorized events or parties could result in a $500 fine, immediate eviction with no refund and additional expenses may be charged to remove odors or repair any damages done.

Fantastic location, needs some upkeep

Location was awesome - close to downtown, and right across the street from the Greenbelt and white water park. It is on a corner of a busy street, but it is not too loud. However, when we arrived, we were surprised to see used razors in the shower, open food in the fridge, and someone’s shoes and bags of garbage outside the back door. The toilet paper hanger attempted to get in touch with House over text regarding questions about parking, and we never received an answer. Overall, disappointing for the amount of money we paid. Overalgarbage

Great Location

The place itself was decent. It has been well kept and was clean. There were a few things that were inconvenient. First only the master bed was fully made. The bunkbeds only had a fitted sheet on. The flat sheet, comforter and pillowcases we had to put on ourselves. They also ask for the dishes to be cleaned but there was no dishwasher soap. With a family of 8 I didn’t enjoy hand washing all the dishes while vacationing. Second there seems to be an ant problem. For the price they are asking they could show a bit more hospitality in providing hand soap and dishwasher soap.

Slumlord Ripoff

PREMIUM RENTALS....... hardly. This "cottage" is actually a tiny OLD home with cheaply made furniture that is well past being old. The cheap blinds on the living room window are in tatters and unusable. Those shredded blinds also provide zero privacy in addition to being unattractive. I hung a bed sheet over the blinds so that we could have privacy. The flooring is significantly damaged in places and in need of repair. The GROUND WIRE for the house's electric service (unsafely) runs across the walkway to the back yard. I tripped over that ground wire on the first night before I knew to avoid it. The kitchen table is variably stained beyond salvaging. The yard of rocks and sticks and dirt is unkempt. And adding insult to injury, my credit card was (without notice) charged an extra $250.... on top of the $100 I had already voluntarily paid to pre-register two dogs to stay there.....because my dogs "got on the couch." I do not recommend this specific property due to quality and safety issues. I do not recommend this property owner due to being over charged without notice.

Great location

Tiny home, but comfortable. It boarders a busy street but walkable to parks, river walk and restaurants which is why we chose it. We loved the location. Sq Ft of home closer to 700 sq ft., it is not 1500 sq ft. as advertised. Kitchen and bathroom are nice and the beds were comfortable. Downside is all rock yard, no grass. Smells like dog but if you want a dog friendly home that comes along with it. Suggest the windows become operable to air it out and for safety, all windows painted shut and no screens on doors.

Great Spot for local parks

We wanted to see the Boise Ballon Festival and this property was very close to Ann Morison Park. We also utilized the vast walking parks across the street to take the kids and dogs out for a nice walk. It was easy to find and many amenities near enough for walking/biking.

Not what I expected

The house was small and cute and ended up working out as a last minute solution. The original house that they had posted was not even close to the same property. The photos were completely different both interior and exterior. The one advertised was much larger and had a dedicated work space, a larger kitchen space, a set up truck in the backyard, and was just overall nicer. When I confronted the owners about it they just said "This is a new property and its just as good!" I kept telling them it doesn't fit my needs and finally the transferred me to the actual owner. Despite me continuously telling her I want to communicate over text, she proceeded to call me multiple times. I told her I couldn't and she persisted to try and push it off for a phone call later. This put a bad taste in my mouth. If you're an ethical owner a paper trail should be encouraged, not denied. Finally I asked for a percentage off my total. I paid close to 4 grand for something that wasn't anything that I asked for. She refused and offered to find alternative living situations but nothing else fit my needs nor the amount of time I needed to be in Idaho. I was in a new foreign place and felt like I had no choice but to take it. It's wrong to take advantage of people and advertise something completely different for you own benefit. Buyer beware.
