Road Closed to Access Property
We were really looking forward to this trip! Bought groceries to last us the entire stay as well as bringing our kayak for the river. However when we got to the last turn for Hwy 68 which is the ONLY ROAD TO THE PROPERTY, it said road closed for 15 miles. We still attempted to turn on the road and about 1 mile later we had to turn around due to a bulldozer blocking the entire road. We drove back into their "town" because there was no cell service....called the owner and explained we could not get to the cabin. Unfortunately, we were never able to access the property.

Great cabin
We loved our stay at this cabin. We liked the remote location, however we are glad we brought our truck. We were shocked about how fully stocked the cabin was. They had everything that you would need. We would definitely stay here again.

Born and raised in Florida near Kennedy Space Center and beaches. Currently working in Louisville, KY where there is so much history and beautiful scenic drives.

Have been a guest through VRBO, so thought it would be nice to share the river house with others. Owned a real estate company for many years in Florida, where I renovated and built homes. I am new to VRBO and excited to host visitors. I currently work at Humana and my husband is at the Army Corps of Engineers. Love to travel, hike, be near the water and see new things. Happy to answer questions and help make your visit a great experience!

Why they chose this property

Unique area of Kentucky with the steep Palisades and boating, plus so many places to visit. Love the rich history and traveling the scenic byway, as you never know what you'll see next. So relaxing, beautiful views, submersed in nature with the wonderful sounds of the waterfall right behind the house.

What makes this property unique

Direct riverfront, spacious, affordable, peaceful and you have the entire house to yourself.
