The name of the hotel is the exact name of the one inside the airport (which was what i thought i was booking). After being rudely told that i didnt have a reservation in the airport hotel. i was instructed to leave the airport and walk about 100 feet, in which, there was armed gunmen with automatic weapons protecting the airport which made my walk very interesting. i also had to pay 40$ to get a visa to walk outside to the airport hotel. This is a way to make you pay 40$ for a visa. i was also searched and my bags where x rayed. will never do a connecting flight through istanbul again! and one of the two hotel names need to be changed so they can stop misleading tired travelers.

Did the trick

I stayed here since I had a 24 hour transit. They were kind enough to upgrade my room from a standard that had no window, to one that had a window. (Standard rooms are windowless). I guess they upgraded me because of my Gold status with Hotels.com. The room is clean and spacious, two very important criteria for me. However, the main reason I stayed there is because I could walk from the airport to the land side entrance, which is much more affordable than booking a room on the airport side. However, with the airport closing in a few days, this is a moot issue.

Effektiv overnatting på Istanbul flyplass.

TAV Airport Hotel Istanbul tilbyr akkurat det navnet tilsier: En overnatting mellom to flyvninger med Turkish Airlines. På plussiden kommer spesielt en meget rask og effektiv inn- og utsjekking. Rommet var nøkternt, men rent og pent, og inneholdt akkurat det man trenger til en kort overnatting. God wi-fi. Hotellet ligger rett ved flyplassen, og det tilbys shuttlebuss dør til dør. Denne var vanskelig å finne, og det virket på kartet som hotellet lå rett ved, så jeg forsøkte å gå. Det skulle jeg ikke ha gjort. Endte opp i en labyrint av motorveier og parkeringsplasser. Bedre merking og en hyppigere buss ville gjort seg, alternativt kunne en merket fotrute etableres.

Not very tasty restaurant. Rooms are below walking path of passengers. So, if there will be a lady on high hills you'll hear her steps in the middle of the night. But the room is clean and well organized.

Отель на одну ночь, удобно при длинной стыковке, когда нет возможности выехать в город. В номере очень пыльно, положила чемодан на пол, чтобы уложить вещи, после этого пришлось чистить и чемодан и брюки. Покушать можно только в одном ресторане. Еда отвратная, завтраки безумно дорогие, а поесть нечего. Сыр заветренный , мясо кислое . А их мильфей - это как говорится "стрихнин" какой то. Вывод: останавливаться в этом отеле, только при крайней необходимости.

Excellent for a night stop over between flights at Ataturk Airport . Large rooms with loads of goodies . Restaurant fine as well and overlooks the runway . Will use again when passing through Istanbul
