Lovely little hotel only a block from the beach. The staff here are delightful, the rooms small but cozy and the feel of the place just delightful. The "resort fee" includes a sunbed on the beach.

Beautiful Art Deco hotel.

It took me a long time to decide where to stay . I finally settled on this hotel because the price seemed reasonable (still not cheap, but this is Miami Beach I guess) and because the location is close to the beach and the Art Deco district (the main reason for visiting) while not in the midst of it all. I asked for a quiet room when I booked, and was indeed given a quiet room. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are wonderful and accommodating. Breakfast is very nice (but not included in the room price). It is a shame that the pool area closes at 6:30pm.

Modest Hotel 2 blocks from the Beach

The hotel is well located just 2 blocks from the beach and close to shops and restaurants on Washington Ave and the Lincoln Rd Mall. There is no elevator here, so you either have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to the second floor or tolerate the from above on the ground floor. There is a kind of old fashioned charm to the hotel. It has modern elements to the rooms, but the bathroom was very old fashioned. There are photos of Clark Gable in the lobby who was once a regular guest. The hotel is also close to bus stops for visits downtown, and close to the Hop On Hop Off bus route. The swimming pool is more like a Jacuzzi but being so close to the beach you wont really need it. Breakfast is not included, but there are grocery stores a block away and a small fridge in every room. The staff are nice and I enjoyed the fruit platter awaiting in my room with a personalised welcoming letter. There was also complimentary bottles of water and beach towels are available in the lobby. I also liked the evening turndown service with chocolates left on the bed, which added to the old fashioned charm of this hotel. Rooms are a little small, but this is common in South Beach.

The secret pleasure at great rates

What a pleasant surprise this small boutique hotel was to us. Well decorated for an older hotel but very nice. The small little nooks crannies in the small garden are delightful. We only wished we could stay longer. The staff are also great

Our stay was great! Surprisingly not a lot of guests there which offered a lot of privacy. The quality of the linens (both bed & bathing towels) could have been better. Some of the towels had stains and were not as soft. I would have also loved if there was a fitted sheet on the bed. Beach chair voucher card and towels daily were a huge bonus. I loved the outdoor space (spa). Was not heated like a typical hot tub but with the heat we didn’t need it. Would stay again, especially for the good price I paid.

Property was super cute, and the staff couldn’t have been more hospitable. We had isssues with our flights requiring a very late check in (3am) as well a very early check out (5am). Staff easily accommodated. When our initial return flight got delayed in the middle of the night, they were able to contact the cab company and reschedule. They made they entire stay so easy and seamless. Whenever I’m back in Miami Beach, I will definitely stay at The Cadet again!

It's a great hotel with a character and great ownership. We enjoyed staying there: service is impeccable thanks to Ray, Maria, and Vivian, and, of course, hotel's owner. We came way before check-in time, and they were able to accommodate us right away, so we didn't lose an hour of sunshine. Rooms are comfortable and very well maintained. Although the building is not the youngest, it has Art Deco character and is famous because of Clark Gable's stay. Close to the beach with loungers provided. Excellent breakfast with fruit salad and perfectly brewed espresso (hotel has own medium roasted perfect coffee beans). Very friendly and professional staff I already mentioned. We would love to stay longer!

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The staff was nice. However they are normally booked so don't expect early check-in. The hotel is small and quite which is great when you been out all day. There is a $100 fee for incidentals that they hold and $37.50 resort fee (the resort fee is non refundable). However almost as soon as I landed back home I was refunded. No microwave or coffee maker in the room and no elevator that was a big bummer. No full length mirror in the room. A full length mirror is a must. However it's a 7minute walk from Miami Beach and a 10 minute LYFT or 39min walk from the beautiful south Pointe beach. The hotel restaurant was tasty and I would book here again. I hope they listen to the feedback and make these minor changes to create a 5 star experience.

This was my second time staying at the cadet hotel and again, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The front desk staff are extremely pleasant and the rooms are super comfy. I loved my bathroom and the water pressure of the shower. I would stay in this hotel again when I come back to south beach :)
