Bad service

The hotel was nice,little bit dated,but still nice.Unfortunately the service was pretty bad,as a 4stars hotel it would be supposed to have a professional personal and willing to help,they didn't give us any help,pretty rude people,never said thanks,please or good morning ,the basic of the humans behave,plus,the most important thing,No one speaks English ,so definitely for the price I wouldn't suggest this hotel,it s nice but not worth to pay for a pretty bad service!I been working in 4/5 stars hotels and this one is not a 4 stars hotel service.

Handy to everything

Great hotel! We only had two days stopover in Shanghai, this hotel suited us perfectly. Staff were great, we did not eat there so cannot comment. Rooms comfortable and spacious and a short walk to Nanjing Rd and Bund.

We stayed here two nights. The location is ideal, right at the center and close to many attractions. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean.

Reasonably priced hotel not too far from the Bund

An older hotel. Is quite 'dated'. But the rooms were clean, tidy and functional. Absolutely no complaints. Good Wifi. The hotel is about halfway between Peoples Square train station and the Bund, so there's a 1km walk either way. Good compromise for the price.

Nice hotel close to Nanjing Road & The Bund

We were upgraded to an Executive Suite on 21st Floor The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and the bed comfortable. It is conveniently located for Nanjing Road, Peoples Sq and The Bund and is close to Nanjing Road East Metro station. We did not try the inhouse restaurants as there were plenty of eating establishments close by. We would certainly recommend the hotel and would stay there again if we ever returned to Shanghai

Central to all attractions

Great hotel only 10 minutes to most attractions. Restaurant leaves a lot to be desired but there is a good eatery down the street at a fraction of the price.

Beware

Stayed at this property for 9 nights. On our 3rd night we noticed some of our recently purchased clothes,footwear,samples were missing.We notified management and at first they were questioning our claims. That same afternoon management arranged a meeting in our room.To our amazement,most of our stolen goods (bar some items) were placed on our bed. We asked what had happened and they replied that house keeping had taken the goods. The fact is that the goods were stolen from inside our bags. Beware Beware Beware We won't be staying at this property again. Oooops almost forgot to mention they offered us a fruit platter for our inconveniences Stayed June 2015, travelled on business

Great guys at the concierge desk

Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm not sure when the bathroom was fully cleaned... the floor looked like it was mopped over by the dirty towels left by previous guests. They also need to attend to the mould and groutying and the cockoroach that made its home above the door frame. The carpet in the main room hasn't seen a vacuum cleaner in a long time. To find our room in the Annexe, we had to get a lift to LV4, get out and walk around, up and down to another lift to get to level 5. The lifts are not in the same area.

Great locatiion in a great city

Hotel Comfort

We had the room on 6th floor, the lift went only up to 4th where we had to walk a long bending corridor to reach another lift which took us to the 6th floor. With 2 suitcase going up and down to was not easy. There was no luggage assistance at all. The staff at their business center which someone assist you to arrange day tours etc was never in her her office.we had to book on line for everything. The room always had a musty smell too.

Nice hotel close to Bond

A nice hotel to stay for 13 days. The location is a plus which is close to Metro line 2 and Bond.The room is clean and spacious and the bed is extremely comfy. The room I stay was 4005 which is easy to access too. The housekeeping lady is friendly. The hotel sent the staff in minutes if something needs to be attended. Overall I had a good time there.

Great Location to Shopping pedestrian

Lovely Hotel, so easy to walk to The Bund, Shopping pedestrian, Metro and YuYuan markets. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Definitely would stay at this hotel again. Great room for 2 pax.

The service is what mainly let this hotel down. The staff seemed pretty disinterested with any requests for assistance and the concierge desk doesn't want to know you unless you're purchasing one of their recommended products. Eg the acrobatic shows which are popular in Shanghai. We got upgraded to a suite room which was very large and clean. We did however request a non-smoking room but we didn't get it so it did unfortunately smell like cigarettes. The location is fine with approx 10min walk to the bund and two subway stations.

I would give the hotel a score about 3.5 but your system does not cater for that. Room good, but had street noise. Restaurants deserted, maybe out of season. The main reason we booked the hotel was the name. But it is a good long walk from the "Bund" itself. Overall a safe place to stay for the price. Bob Trotter.

Nice simple hotel. Helpful staff let us check in early. English speaking staff Clean room The bed and pillows where quite hard but not to terrible.
