Hosts were great pre- arrival and on arrival. We had an ant infestation to the point where they were even in our beds!! The hosts initially tried to blame us for leaving crumbs and sugar around and also for not having the sheet turned on the first day after we arrived. (even though we didn’t use appartment for eating) They did quickly come and clean, however there were still ants (not as many) the next couple of days. Have bites all over my legs and body, as do my kids! Didn’t even offer any reimbursement considering how much the property costs, wouldn’t expect this at all. Happy to remove the review if reimbursement is given.

Perfect.

Lovely view from the room, huge place, had a kitchen, had a lift, the staff were amazing so friendly spoke English. The location is great about a 2 minute walk to the main square, 5 min from ferry drop off, lots of restaurants… we honestly did not want to leave this place. Could of stayed our whole time in italy here. Highly recommend. Make sure you get a canal view room nothing better than drinking wine watching the boats go by.

Fabulous apartment in amazing location

Wow what a great apartment in a fabulous location. We stayed in the top floor superior apartment which was huge with a sofa bed in the living room and a king bed in the bedroom. There were two bathrooms and we overlooked the adjacent canal. 2 mins walk to St Mark's Square and 5 mins to the Rialto Bridge. Note 50 euros extra cleaning fee if you want to use the stove. Daily service and 24 hour reception.

Very contented and happy travelers.

The accommodation was very well located, amazingly clean and comfortable, spacious and welcoming. Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. As a family, we loved our stay.

Great location, Romantic.

Absolutely fantastic, central location, management and staff so helpful. Best advise I can give is if you come in via Marco Pollo airport either by car or plane, spend the extra $$ about 120 euro and take a private water taxi it takes you through the grand canal and the waterways so you get to see it from that side and it takes direct to the door of the residence without the hassle of finding it and having to tow your luggage about, gives you a great way to start your Venice holiday, also step out side the tourist routes and explore the it it will be amazing what you find that's not listed. When your ready to depart order a water taxis it'll pick you up from right outside the residence and should as it did for us take you out past San Marcos square seeming it from that side and head back that way again it makes the departure through the airport relaxing, there's a porter service at the port side that takes you and your luggage in a van to the airport it might only be a five/ten minute ride but if you walk it it's about twenty min + and has an uphill part. Cost is around 20 euro again worth it as they take you in and show you the place to check in as there are quite a few airlines using the airport. Again just takes the stress out and keeps those Venice thoughts alive. Again the hotel was fantastic we had room 101 massive with two rooms and kitchenette overlooks the canal, bridge and the Gondolas with the singing Gondoliers just float past, made the trip so memorable .

An excellent hotel

We stayed in Grimani for three nights. We took the private water taxi and it arrived just outside the door way of the hotel. If taking public transport and getting off at San Marco, it's about 10-15 minutes walk, also required to cross a small bridge before reaching the hotel. Our first impression of the hotel was very clean and spacious. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location is awesome, 5 minutes walk to San Marco Plaza and 5-7 minutes walk to Rialto bridge. Would love to go and stay there again!

Great location near to St Mark's Square

Exceeded our expectations! Very large suite with comfortable furniture and free wi-fi. Great location near St Mark's Square, overlooking small canal through gondolas passed frequently, often with singer and piano accordion. No need to go for a ride yourself, as we had singing all the time. American hotel just round the corner with a good 10 euro breakfast, auto teller also nearby. Excellent instructions on website on how to locate the hotel from the Rialto ferry stop, just a 5 minute walk.

Worth paying a bit extra!

Very nice hotel, more like an apartment building, with great management and staff. The hotel is only a 3 minute walk from St Mark's Square and 7 minutes from the Rialto Bridge. We had a Grand Canal View room, actually a 2 room apartment. One room had a small kitchen and a dining/lounge area with a sofa bed. The other room was a large bedroom with a king bed and a sofa bed. There were 2 bathrooms. We had 6 windows opening to the canal, providing lots of fresh air and the pleasant sounds of canal traffic all day, including the singing and chatting of Gondoleers, adding a real taste of Venice to our holiday. We would stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay to experience Venice!

Venice bliss

This Hotel was the best of all our European stays (Rome, Florence, Paris), the rooms were very large and made the stay for myself, wife and 2 children a pleasure. The staff are excellent, and would go back and stay. Did I ment the view over the cannal? Just wish I stayed longer than 2 nights.

Corte Grimani - Venice

PROS: - Excellent location. Between the Rialto and San Marco - Very large rooms, with lounge, dining table, kitchenette, queen bed and plenty of hanging space. - Great value for Venice - Very helpful and knowledgeable staff - modern and clean bathrooms NOTE: - As it is an apartment, it will not have all the conveniences of a hotel, but the larger and nicer rooms more than make up for it.

Perfect Loaction

We loved our stay at the Residence Corte Grimani. As a family of 5 (2 teenage daughters and a six year old) we found the apartment to be very spacious and luxurious. It was on the expensive side but most are in Venice and it was well worth it. The location was great being only a few minutes walk from St Mark's in one direction or the Rialto Bridge in the other. It cost extra to use the stove/oven and washing machine but given we had access to a keetle and microwave for free this didn't concern us. Free internet access in the lobby was a plus for the teenagers. The managers were very helpful with bookings and recommending great restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Home away from home

Our second time here. Huge apartment, 50s 'Madmen'decor .best of all (besides the location) are the operators. Brother and sister venetians who can't do enough to help. Beware they don't serve breakfast as they are classified as a residence rather than a hotel.

We could not ask for better location in Venice, and the rooms for our family of 5 were very big. Staff was great. Water taxi will also take you right to the front door from the airport or train station. I would absolutely stay at Corte Grimani again.

Fantastic

We had the best time in Venice from September 26th to September 28th. Venice is a beautiful city and we had a wonderful stay. This is where to stay if you want to be in the middle of this fantastic city. And than you have Vanessa! The best host you can hope for. When we are going back to this adventure of a place, we are going back to stay right here. Spacious apartment suitable for a family of five.
