Ok hotel

Nice hotel in a convenient location

It is a nice hotel in a convenient location, a metro station across the road and an abundant of restaurants nearby. There is a taxi rank around the corner which was great for those like me with an early morning flight. Room was comfortable with a great view of the street. Lift in the building was also a bonus for Paris.

Villa Luxembourg

Villa Luxembourg is a fantastic location if you want to see all the sights of old Paris. We were able to walk to The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame, Saint Chappelle and many more sights. It was close to a Metro station to go to Sacre Coeur. The photos are outdated but the staff were very friendly and helpful. For us the breakfast was extremely satisfactory but this is a personal like. Our room was cleaned every day and towels changed daily. We stayed for 5 nights. The room had a kitchenette but no plates etc. We didn't ask for any so maybe these would be supplied on request. I would stay again.

good location, dodgy shower.

Great location,near to the metro and lots of restaurants close by. The room was quiet even though it was on a main road. Staff spoke english. The bed was a little short in length,the cold tap on the shower didnt work.Room had a kitchenette but no cooking utensils-not even a kettle to make tea or coffee.

Dissapointed

Apart from the location, everything about the hotel was dissapointing, we stored a carry on bag at the hotel with waterford Crystal vase inside, it was bubble wrapped inside a protective box and wrapped in padding, not only was it broken it was smashed to smithereens!! the fact that it was at least an inch thick at the base shows how badly the case was smashed, staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, at the end we were charged 7 euro each person per room quoted as an admin charge, as we were on a schedule we were unable to query the charge and paid up, in all not a nice stay.

Good location, nice views

Good location, with metro, restaurants, supermarkets all close. Hotel reception staff were great, and happy to speak English. We booked a family room for 4 people, and got 2 rooms next to each other, which our 2 teenagers were very happy about getting their own room. Our rooms were on the top floor (7th floor), and we had a balcony to the double room which was a lovely spot to have our breakfast with views over Boulevard de Montparnesse. The only complaint was that the air-conditioner in the double room did not work, but we did have a fan which made the room comfortable with the wide balcony doors open- the air-conditioning in the kid's twin room worked well. We stayed in early October, and the weather was unseasonally warm with temperature of 28 degrees the day we arrived, but it did cool down to max 22 degrees the next few days- so it was unusual that we needed air-conditioning, but it did mean we could enjoy using the balcony.

Room was cramped, and bed was a rickety uncomfortable sofa bed. Great location in the heart of Montparnasse, but I would advise to look at one of many other hotels in the vicinity. If wifi access important as it was for me (business) don't believe the 'free' wifi claim. There is no signal. Only option is to use the 'pay for' wifi and the price was steep. 4* hotel ? - 4* lie.

Annoying Buzzing Noise from Air Conditioning, too many things were broken in our room

We were less than impressed with the Villa Luxembourg Hotel. Our coffee maker never worked from day one, so we asked for it to be replaced. Sorry, they don't have any spares they said. The Air Conditioner gave a very loud buzz for about half a second every 2 or 3 minutes. It was loud enough to wake us up unless we wore earplugs. We complained about it too, but the reception desk said that most of the rooms in the hotel do it. The handle on the sink tap broke near the end of our stay, so we had to wash our dishes in the handbasin. There were two positives to our choice of this hotel: - The location was great, really near to the Metro at Vavin, which took us directly to the Paris Nord train station (or CDG Airport) - The room service was good.

Prima Hotel in toller Lage

Das Hotel hat meiner Frau und mir sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal, besonders an der Rezeption , war sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und ruhig.Die Lage des Hotels am Boulevard de Montparnasse ist hervorragend! Wir kommen wieder!
