Worst hotel room ever

Horrible dingy very small room..dirty pink carpet, uncomfortable bed, mould in the bathroom, paint peeling off the walls, steep stairs to get down to the room which was below road level, bedside lamp didn't work, i couldn't get the wifi in the room. Room cost nearly 300 AUD for the night's stay.

Eaton Square

Good location, Good staff, very helpful and polite. Clean comfortable rooms. Breakfast was included and was most satisfactory. Just a couple of little things that if improved would give a much better experience. There were several plumbing fittings that could use a good tightening down. The loose tap fittings while working fine were annoying. This could be fixed very easily.

Close to transport, Eaterys etc and hotels/pubs.

Shower had mould, cigarette burns in carpet, door handle fell off, some power points didn't work, feminine hygiene product in room courtyard. Advised them very average for the price. Overall very average. They need to look closer at cleaning and maintenance.

This hotel is best for its location to Victoria Station and worst for its security. We were given a basement room with a window with a broken lock - am pretty sure it'd been broken for some time as there was gaffer tape all over it! Just get it fixed! We asked to move rooms so that we'd feel safer leaving our possessions but the hotel was booked out. The hotel said we were in a safe area but wouldn't go so far to guarantee safety of our possessions with an unlocked window. The hotel could generally improve overall maintenance eg changing light bulbs when needed, making sure the air conditioning works in the breakfast room.

The worse hotel in London

Had it been advertised as a backpackers establishment I would have understood but they charged £200 per night; The room was musty with stained carpet and exposed electrical wires. The en-suite bathroom was very tiny and a shower stall that one could only stand in. there was not enough room to move one’s arms to wash. Check-in was at the Tophams hotel at number 28 and one then had to drag one’s luggage in the rain to number 51 which was the Eaton Square Hotel. There was no porter service and when confronted the receptionist could only say that it wasn’t her job to handle complaints. I confronted the general manager who would not give me his name and was most unhelpful. There were other customers also complaining about the conditions and he just walked out leaving the receptionist to utter her nonsense about it not being her job or her fault that they were charging so much. Had I not paid in advance I would have walked out immediately. Continental breakfast was included in the rate. A stale pastry is not my idea of a breakfast.

Great location right down the road from Victoria station and friendly staff who allowed us to check in early as our room was ready. The room was comfortable with a nice bathroom facilities. The breakfast was minimal in what was left at 9 am, with breakfast finishing at 10 am.

New management saved us

Previous management took our money and ran. Overbooked shabby hotel with tiny rooms. Building owner brought in their staff to help us at the hotel next door, Topham Hotel and they were fabulous, Christina and Anna thank you for your hospitality.

The location doesn't make up for the rest

On check in, the agent tried to upsell me to the "sister" hotel (where the service desk is) stating that the other hotel was "much nicer". When I turned them down they took me to a basement room in the Eaton Square building down the street. WiFi was sketchy and didn't cover the whole room. Later I discovered there were no towels, and phoned the desk. They told me to go back to the other hotel to collect my own towels. There were cobwebs on the lights, and very dirty grout in the shower. The carpet on the stairs to the room is frayed, and the paint on the walls throughout is old and chipped. The kicker was listening to the rats in the walls. I'm not making that up -- I took a video of the sounds.. chewing and chirping. On the other hand, the location is great. I could walk everywhere I needed to be. That said, I wouldn't stay here again.

Gent.ma Expedia, ancor prima di recensire l'albergo, la recensione la faccio a voi, ed inizio con una domanda: Come fa un'azienda come la vostra ad accettare la collaborazione di una "struttura" palesemente scorretta e ingannevole come la EATON SQUARE HOTEL? Veniamo ai fatti, foto fuorvianti, condizioni delle camere proposte da fuori legge, per lo meno in Italia, a Londra a questo punto non lo so. In una delle camere, nel seminterrato, le pareti erano grondanti di acqua, quasi come se qualcuno le avesse appena bagnate con abbondanti secchiate di acqua, questa umidità, si estendeva in più pareti da circa 1.60 metri al pavimento, ed ovviamente comprendeva anche zone delle pareti in cui vi erano prese elettrice, una roba del genere in Italia sarebbe dichiarata INAGIBILE per rischio incendio e chiusa. Purtroppo questa è l'unica stanza in cui non ho potuto fare foto, si sono badati bene dal chiuderla non appena hanno capito che io li non ci avrei mai dormito a costo di dormire per strada. L'altra camera proposta, aveva un bagno esterno fatiscente, molta umidità sparsa, diciamo la copia della camera precedente, ma senza pareti bagnate. A questo punto torniamo nella Hall, e li comincia una lunghissima trattativa, per proporci due camere diverse, a loro dire più costose, ed il prezzo da pagare sarebbe stato di circa 460€ in più per entrambe le camere in totale. Continuerò il racconto in una mail, perché qui ho terminato lo spazio a disposizione

Absolutely terrible - en-suite is a dirty smelly wet cupboard- literally- no cover over the mattress under sheet the throw had a suspicious stain on it flaking pint no head board - will never use again
