Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), also known as two-factor authentication, is a European regulatory requirement that aims to protect your online purchases from fraud and ensure that payments made with your card on our website are really yours.

From December 2020, SCA is required for electronic payments where the business and the cardholder’s bank are in the European Economic Area (EEA).

SCA is designed to be more secure than just using your username and password. When you book with us, you might be asked to verify your identity validating two of the three identification factors:
  • Something you own, like your phone
  • Something you know, like a pin or password
  • Something you are, like your face, fingerprint, or voice recognition
Not all online payments need you to authenticate yourself. Some exceptions are low value or recurring transactions, trusted merchants with your bank, and corporate payments through a corporate card.
