This house had everything we needed!! It was very comfortable and clean. We loved being on the quieter side of the island. We felt like it was in a perfect place. We were able to easily get to the hikes in Acadia that were located in Southwest Harbor, but it was also very easy to get to the other hikes that were closer to Bar Harbor. We would definitely stay here again!

Great communication ahead of time prior to arrival (and the owner was accessible the entire trip), listing was spot on, place was very very clean upon arrival, house was well stocked (kitchen supplies including grill, bathroom - towels, etc), rooms (extra pillows and blankets if needed), fantastic room downstairs that had a great view and walked out to the front lawn, and room was nice for chilling or getting in a workou (or doing laundry), upstairs very clean and spacious, large TV you won't use a lot (also in the bedroom), comfy furniture and large dining table, deck was amazing, very spacious with several chairs, hammock, and grill, great marsh view and moon was awesome, bathroom was very nice and had a cozy tub as an option to relax, nightlights around house are stragically placed, nice fire pit area. Instruction/reference notes that were very helpful; gas stations/convenience stores within a quarter mile both directions; lobster based restaurant about a half mile away that had a variety of lunch and dinner options ( fantastic lobster, lobster rolls, and chowders!). We loved how quiet and peaceful it was but still within reasonable distances to see park areas. Saw some wildlife at the property and close by. Will defintely stay again! We have come to the area several times in the past and this was the first time we ysed the bus park system. There are pick up locations close by (short drives)that are available to visit the park if you map it and plan it out ahead of time.

The place was amazing with a great view of fall colors. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the pans and utensils you would need to cook. There were plenty of linens and the beds were comfortable. Theresa is a great host and very responsive. If we come back to Acadia again we will definitely stay here!

We have stayed several times on the island and this home has been the best place by far. The on line pictures do not do this place justice. We enjoyed hiking on both sides of the island and the area was extremely quiet! Highly recommend

October getaway

The house is in a beautiful section of Southwest Harbor, it is on a private little dirt road with only 3 houses on it, beautiful marsh on the deck side of property. We were able to be secluded but be 5 minutes from town as well. We all had a great stay.

Ideal location on the quiet side of Acadia.

We explored much of Acadia and always had a comfortable well equipped place to return to. Gladeview was very nice and we had all we needed. We highly recommend this place to families or friends who want the balance of exploration and a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beauty all around.

Beautiful home with warm wood and a perfect balance of simplicity and amenities. Responsive host and clear instructions. Convenient to Southwest Harbor and Bass Harbor. Nice setting by marsh on the "quietside"; you do hear some traffic from Route 102. Only extra we wished for was a second bathroom. We highly recommend this property.

It was a beautiful, relaxing and accommodating home. My husband said it was the best part of our trip lol. A great place for our toddler because it wasn’t cluttered with a bunch of knick knacks. The only thing to pay attention to that we didn’t is there is no A/C. It cooled off at night and wasn’t to hot, but they do have fans that helped.

Great stay, perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay at Theresa’s place. The house is super clean and comfortable and the setting is tranquil. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet side of MDI. Everything we need is nearby without the crowds. Lots of activities as well such as hiking, kayaking and taking a dip at echo lake. The Arcadia national park is a pleasant 20 min drive away. We wish to be back!

Convenient & Quiet Location

Beautiful home in a quiet and convenient location. It was a short distance from hikes, Bar Harbor and the Park Loop Road. Plenty of restaurants close by. We loved sitting on the large deck and playing games at the large table. The home was very clean and well stocked with what we needed. We loved that we could bring our dogs with us on our Maine trip. We would stay here again on another trip to Maine.

Year 4 was great. Looking forward to year 5

Theresa has a wonderful property with all the amenities that make it a comfortable stay for our family. It now feels like our home away from home when we arrive each summer. It’s clean, thoughtfully appointed, and the windows in the main living space make you feel like you are sitting in the middle of the woods. We love the back deck and spend hours out there looking for birds and enjoying the Maine summer. We can’t wait to return next year.

Terry

This was by far the nicest property we have ever stayed at. The host was attentive to any question we had and took care of any of our concerns. We experienced a rare hurricane while at the home and the host continued to check on our welfare. Thank you for making our vacation perfect!

Great place near Acadia

The house was clean, well stocked, organized and very inviting. It had a nice open concept layout. The beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect for visiting and riding bikes within Acadia. Many great places to eat close by. The home was quiet and secluded. The porch was huge. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the red squirrels, the chickadees, and the blue herons in the Glade. We will definitely be back.
