The apartment was cute and quaint and was decorated to feel like a cozy cabin in the woods. The host was very communicative and key in tough with us as well as gave us suggestions of things to check out in the area.
It was a nice temporary living situation while i completed my student teaching. Very comfortable and had a good amount of space to relax. Very quiet and didnt interact with the neighbors a lot but they were nice when i saw them. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in this area for whatever reason

Thank you for staying in the Falls by the River. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Enjoy the spring summer and safe travels. Nice to meet you.
Very accomodating. They made good use of the space there. Very small, but as a "crash pad" while visiting my family nearby, it served mw well. Good people.

Thank you for the review. Nice to be close to the freeway river and shops downtown.
This Vrbo is clean and comfortable. It was great for me becaise it was close to everything in the Falls. The owner was great. She even responded quickly when i accidentally locked myself out. It's not a fancy place, but comfortable and convenient. It's got the basics covered.

Safe travels and thanks for visiting the Falls by the River
Very dark and not inviting. Place was a little rough, but for the price it is what it is.

Hello. We are sorry you felt this way. We have never had a negative report like this..most guest love it. As far as the room being dark, we did paint the ceiling black a few yrs ago because of an artistic trend in home renovations. If you Google "Black Ceilings, you can get a better concept of the look that is popular. There are 4 lights in the space and we can always enhance brightness. We left brighter light bulbs in the drawer in case someone wanted a change in the dim lighting. There was an outside light we noticed you did not have on and well the location outside and the apartment buildings so not have lots of exterior lighting. I think we could update on the lights outside however the 24'7 Circkle K lightning across the street is SUPER BRIGHT and to bright for my comfort. I will take into consideration the light issue and update my profile to let guest know there are changeable lightning options to accommodate brightness preference. This neighborhood and these homes are 100 yr old houses. We appreciate your feed back. This is the 1st time we had a negative public review. I will update my listing. Thank you.
The space was very clean, functional, and had all of the amenities you would need. We were not placed in the space listed, though we did end up in a larger unit with a separate bedroom. Our check-in was a little confusing and communications could be slow at times throughout our stay, but we were consistently assisted by our friendly hosts. All in all, it was a good spot in a great location.
Not one towel in the place to dry off after shower. Wash rag that was there was the oldest rag ever. Cat/dog hair on the bed and pillows. No curtain or shade on bedroom window. Pictures on VRBO ad we’re not the same place. VRBO took my complaint but they have done very little to remedy the situation even after I sent pictures.
Booked my stay from November 16- December 1st. The hosts were generous enough to meet me the night before my check-in. Was given a set of keys and a brief overview of the neighborhood. Immediately noticed that the porch light was out and the stairs were very dark. Julie said she would come back the next day to put a new bulb in so I could see to unlock the door and not fall down the stairs. Once I walked in the unit, I immediately noticed that the description of the property isn’t entirely accurate. The space is very small but the photos do not actually depict the space you’re renting. There is no futon. There is no coffee maker. There is no toaster. The laundry facilities were not able to be used. The bed is very stiff. Only one of the pillows had a pillow case on it. The shower, at first, looks very dirty with all the blue paint all over it but I believe they did that on purpose to make it more “ocean like”. They have part of the bathroom floor covered in a different type of tile which makes it raised up in places. There is a fridge available for use. The TV stopped working on day 2. Julie never came back to fix the light or put a pillow case on the second pillow. Two of the biggest issues were the fact that there was a mouse on bed when I walked in on the third day and I was approached by an older man and asked if I wanted to buy some meth from him when I was outside the rental. The neighborhood is interesting to say the least. Book somewhere else.

Guest was local stated his townhome was not done yet and needed a place. Booked and wanted to stay a day earlier claiming his computer defaulted and he forgot to book then extra day and this was all communicated in the Vrbo thread. He said he needed to arrive a day early. I made an exception and said he could have the night FREE since he was checking in before midnight and it’s the holidays in addition to this I explained to the guest that the day was actually blocked on our calendar and that we just put down new flooring. Putting down new flooring means the pictures needed to be updated because the tile and linoleum flooring were no longer there but new flooring. I explained that he could come but that I would need to come back the next day to finish the room by placing a few thing back where they were before removing everything and putting in the new floors. The BED is very soft and it’s a brand called Dream Cloud. Anyone who knows bedding knows the dream cloud brand is very soft and cozy for most consumers. Also on the mattress is a nice 3 inch new mattress topper to make this bed more comfortable. I would disagree with the guest making false claims that the bed was hard. The porch light was newly installed and there was a light on next to it 10 feet away that provided plenty of lighting. There is a nice sturdy new handrail on the steps installed a couple months ago. There are only 3 steps. When I arrived the next day he was not there and we do not go in units unless the Tenent is home and if we go in for any reason without Tenent home we post a proper notice not just a verbal. The first day the guest arrive he needed to borrow my personal iPhone charger. He arrived hours earlier then planed and then the agreement was for him to come get the keys and leave for a while and arrive before midnight. I needed that 2 hour window to complete the space by bringing in the futon and microwave and coffee maker. Once he got the keys he would not leave for those 2 hours needed The listing is clear on the space size and always has. There are two nice pillows both having covers. The one cover is a new line of soft material that zips so there is no loose end making it look better. There are always clean pillow covers. This guest did not stay a 2nd night but returned the 3rd day to tell me he was not going to stay and that someone broke in the unit and stole his new charger. He claimed someone tried to sell him drugs at the convenient store side walk.
Thank you so much for visiting The Falls.. I hope you enjoyed the time here. Guest who return can always benefit from special discounts. Have a wonderful summer:)
