Surrounded by lots of trees and greenery, this four-bedroom, two-bathroom property is a real retreat just two blocks from the ocean and with easy access to Oak Island attractions.
A short walk inland on the Scenic Trail leads over the canal and directly to the kayak and canoe launch. Among the other inland entertainments are the splash park, skate park, squash and tennis courts and playground equipment. The king bedroom and one of the queen bedrooms open onto waterway views. Two sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds and one bedroom with a double bed complete the sleeping accommodations for up to 10 people. Every piece of furniture and decorative accent is top-quality. Each room is a delight, from the vibrant blue rocking chairs and side table on the front porch to the tastefully colored duvets on sleigh beds in two of the rooms and both sets of white bunk beds covered in fanciful ocean-themed linens in a sea-blue room. The bedrooms are carpeted and gleaming hardwood floors cover all other areas, with the exception of tile flooring in the baths and separate laundry room.
A patterned blue and sand colored rug in the living room seating area compliments the like-colored sofa and chairs. Flat screen TVs are in all bedrooms and there is wireless internet access throughout. The kitchen is not just state-of-the-art functional, but an eye-pleaser as well. Granite countertops on every work surface pick up the color and theme of the bathroom vanities. A mini-tile splash guard behind the stove adds the perfect accent to this exceptional kitchen. The dining area seats six, with an additional outdoor table and four chairs on the large screened back porch.
Stroll out to enjoy the marsh views on the dock added in 2020. A convenient enclosed hot and cold shower is located under the back deck. Generous windows throughout the house offer views of gently swaying trees from virtually every vantage point.
Though pets are not allowed, please note that occasionally a dog may be present during an owner stay for those guests who are allergic to pets.

The home was neat and clean. The other members of our group were not pleased with mattresses. They sagged really bad. One back bedroom (left side) mattress was on the floor. Which made it difficult to get in and out of.
Home was nice and clean. Linens were provided by a rental service and were clean and packaged. Home had a few minor repair items needed, but overall very nice. I would recommend to friends and family.
A really nice property with a good layout for a couple of families. I notified the property manager of a few maintenance items that needed attention, but overall this is a very nice vacation rental. Location is close to the beach, but off the main road so very little traffic or traffic noise.
We stayed in this beautiful house for several days. It overlooks a wonderful marsh area and there is a walkway and porch from which to see the marsh area up close. Quiet and 2 easy blocks from the beach.
This house was perfect set up for us. We loved the location and the area. We loved how updated it was and clean the property was. We played a lot of games, puzzles and a lot of walks. Quiet setting was so nice, we took full advantage of sitting on both porches whenever we could.
We really liked the layout of this house and we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was an easy walk to the beach, to walking trails and to a park. Quick drive to the grocery store. We loved the walkway to the bit of intercoastal waterway behind the house. The kids enjoyed casting there fishing poles. Would definitely stay again.
Property is beautiful both inside and out. Great location for peaceful views of the marsh and easy access to the beach. Had a slight glitch with an email getting the wrong address but they were quick to respond and ensure we made it to the right house and all was well. Will definitely come back to this one. I look forward to being there in better weather.
