The home was very well appointed, very clean and the hosts were easily reachable for any questions. Even though our weather wasn’t great, the house was still spacious enough for 11 adults to have indoor fun. Bedrooms are spacious!
Perfect home for multiple families. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The home is equipped with everything you might need for your stay & the owners are very responsive.
The house was spotless abd had everything needed including a pack and play for the baby and dishes for the little! Everythibg was marked as to where it was so you didnt need to search for things and if there were questions tgey were abswered promptly!
Great house, great location. The beds were comfy, enough towels and space for everyone to feel comfortable, great kitchen for preparing meals and great space to sit, relax and get caught up with each other!
Easy check in and check out. Would be a great place in the summer with good weather, but we really enjoyed in in late October too!
We had the best time! It was the perfect set up for us! We were a group of moms and boys!
It was the best! We loved that it had two separate areas! One for the moms and one for the boys to hangout in! The game room also got a lot of use!! Would definitely recommend this property!! 10/10
Everything was as it was listed, we enjoyed spending time fishing either off the dock or on the boat. Watching the kids swim off the beach being able for us adults to just take our chairs and sit in the water. The only thing we were disappointed about was the bugs that got in the house from having the windows open.
We had an amazing time. My husband and I reserve a place every year that our two daughters and their families can spend a long weekend with us. It is always a great time. The house is very spacious and room for everyone. The yard is large and provides lots of room for games and fun. The private beach is amazing and the use of all the kayaks is great! BUT ... the only downfall is that the house is not very handicap friendly. My husband has Parkinsons and has problems walking so needs to use an amigo and a walker. There are many levels in the house which makes it very difficult for him to get around without additional assistance.
Beautiful piece of property with a very spacious home for the 10 of us for a family week vacation. Very clean, nice and plentiful bath towels and amenities, kitchwn was nicely equipped for all of us, right on the water, great fire pit, plenty of deck chairs and plenty of parking. We drove into town to play pickle ball, golfed at 3 courses and ate dinner in town on the water. Location from town is a little too far out for riding our bikes but easy to get to ice cream and the grovery store by car. Nice for kayaks, canoes and paddle boards as it is a rather shallow lake. Very quiet area.
So glad we chose Sunset Point for our family vacation and if we ever find ourselves staying in the area again, this is where you will find us. The property is beautiful with little to no traffic and Lake Mitchell is quiet. The way the house is set on the point, you have great views from nearly every window. Watching the sunset each night, either around the firepit or on the huge deck, was the perfect way to end the day. There are so many things to do at the house, rent the pontoon, take the kayaks out, bring out the lily pad and beach toys or just swim in the lake - the water is shallow at the small, private beach. The owners were thoughtful and very responsive. Our experience with them alone would have garnered at least a 4-star rating. Of course it won't be the best house for every family. The house itself has only one bedroom on the main floor so if you have several people in your group who can't easily climb steps it may not be the house for you. As for us, we had a lovely time and can't wait to go back!
We had a wonderful time staying here. We had more than enough room for our 12 adults and two children. The beds were comfortable and clean! It was nice to have the pack n play and high chair so we didn’t have to bring them. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed to cook and they made sure we had a grill to use. There was plenty of room to eat with 2 tables and two living room gathering areas. The garage was a nice bonus to keep our cars dry and free of snow! The surprise was a success with 4 generations of family playing games and spending time together. We will definitely stay here again!
We were a group of ladies with our children getting away for a few days of spring break. We had a great time. The sunsets did not disappoint at all. This property was clean and well equipped! Even though we chose a lakefront property in early April we were still able to have a camp fire and use the gas grill to cook a meal. On our bad weather day the local bowling alley was great!
We also enjoyed a hike on the White Pine trail. The kids loved the house and the indoors basketball hoop game was a hit!!
Thank you for a lovely get away!
Spending a week on this property was certainly a treat. The property with being surrounded by water in nature was very relaxing. There always seem to be a fresh breeze off the lake and all ages found something to do for entertainment. The house accommodated 11 guests and having good ventilation the house was seldom uncomfortably warm. We found things to do in the area, but we enjoyed just being on the property and not having to go out and find entertainment elsewhere. Having the living room for games and the front room for fellowship and meals worked very well for us. Everyone from ages 8 to 78 settled in very nicely. We had some great campfires at night with Wood being provided. We used the kayaks during the day and even the lily pad. We never seemed to run out of things to do. I cannot leave out fishing, because that was a favorite pastime of many, and there was always something to catch. We are sad to be back home, but we are grateful for all the opportunities we had to enjoy each other. Thank you for your hospitality.
The house had great sunsets. We could fish from shore or the dock. It was nice having our boat readily available. The beds were so comfortable that I want ones like it in my house. The house is a little quirky and had a few problems. Both floors had multiple levels, so there were steps. The worst step was entering the kitchen. Not because it was high, but because it was short; only about 3 inches. It was easy to forget and several of us stubbed our toes on it.The house is not friendly to those over 60, like me and my siblings. None of us are handicapped, but some aspects of the house are not friendly to those that don't get around as well as they used to. The shower and bath did not have slip resistant floors, nor did they have grab bars to assist getting in and out. There also nothing to hold on to when going up or down the steps on the aforementioned level changes. The stairwell to go upstairs is narrow and open to the dining room; a fall hazard. The house is not air conditioned. That alone is not a problem. I enjoy the fresh night air. Unfortunately, some of the windows did not have screens, and some screens in the windows that had them were torn.
Beautiful property with amazing views of the water. Fishing, campfires, warm showers, and cozy beds. We had everything we needed for a terrific family vacation.
