Charming 2-bdrm downtown Coeur d'Alene Historic Foster Ave-Garden District
Located in the Historic Garden District of downtown Coeur d'Alene, this charming 1960's boutique home is a quiet and private home base from which to explore the nearby resort town, mountains, and lakes. With 2 bright and airy bedrooms, each featuring a queen bed, this cozy retreat is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Just a few blocks from downtown bars, restaurants, and shops. A fifteen-minute walk, or less than a mile drive, to Sanders and other beaches on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Minutes from Tubbs Hill Natural Area. Experience the magic of Coeur d'Alene from this centrally located home.
The bungalow is light, airy, and open with light decor. Original hardwood floors (yes a bit creaky) create a natural warmth. Design elements include natural wooden window frames, solid real wood floors, green vintage laminate on the kitchen floor, an arched passageway to the living room, some stucco walls, built-in closets and drawers (that don't all close perfectly), and solid wood maple kitchen cabinets displaying excellent craftsmanship. This home is not recommended for guests looking for brand-new or modern features.
The property is on a large corner lot with ample street parking as well as a private parking pad. that holds one car. The street parking will work well for trailers, campers, and vehicles towing boats.
The property has a large lawn. It is mowed weekly, and the sprinklers go on early in the morning and late at night (roughly 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.). Senske also attends to property maintenance items including pest control, weed control, lawn aeration, and seeding. WE CANNOT STOP THESE SERVICES FOR GUESTS.
There is a garage on site that is not available for guests.
The laundry room, with a washer and dryer, is located in an unfinished basement. This is a shared space (as it has owner cleaning supplies and is used for storage of personal items) and has not been updated or improved. It is not maintained in mint condition for guest use. The walls and floor are concrete. The space is locked and only available upon request, upon which the door code will be provided. We are happy to share this place with guests who won't hold its unfinished nature against us.
