Great value for money

Great location ......served by numerous trains out of Southern Cross ...lively and varied location with lots of places to eat n have a beer or coffee..accommodation was clean ...well supplied and well run ...breakfast was a bonus ...again quick well supplied and friendly environment ......it was a greAt start to the GrandPrix weekend ...I meandered into Albert Park on Friday a refreshed having had a good evening and a good nights sleep ...my friends arrived on the 6.am flight out of Wellington absolutely knackered and paid so much more than my total cost for arriving the night before and my accommodation cost/ meals /beers and more ......I think they may be convinced to do this next year

A visit to Motorclassica @ Royal Exhibition Centre

Relatively late booking for 2 adults requiring cheap accommodation in good location. Have used several times before. No unpleasant surprises this time & clean as always.

Convenient place to stay

Was pleased to stay here for two nights after arriving in Melbourne at the tail end of my holiday, as it was a good location to take it easy for a couple of days. With breakfast included, laundry facilities available, in-room TV, and a good variety of shops and a train station nearby, you can easily get yourself sorted and it is only 10-15 minutes by train into Flinders St Station.

Great for a footy weekend

A great little bolt hole next to South Yarra train station if you're in town for a footy weekend. Trams just up the road take you right to Richmond and an easy stroll to the MCG. Clean, tidy, great location and affordable.

We had a lovely honeymoon staying here. It was clean and convenient, and staff could not be more helpful. It was great value for the money. Only issue we had was the number of stairs with no lift. This is because my husband has bad knees that don't take kindly to stairs. However the staff did their best to help here by giving us a room on the first floor. A lift would certainly help when it comes to getting those heavy bags up the stairs though lol. Thanks for a wonderful stay we had a lovely time. :-)

Would stay there again on my next trip to Melbourne

Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful, loved the free breakfasts... I felt very safe A great place to stay if you are going to be out all day and are using it to sleep, our room was small but very comfortable.

Most convenient hotel in Melbourne

Everything at Claremont was great. The services available were brilliant, the rooms were clean, basic, but have everything you need. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It was close to the trains & trams and easy to find.

I only needed somewhere to sleep after attending the rugby. It was close to public transport, had so many dining options in walking distance and the room and beds/linen were clean. I didn't spend much time in the hotel so just to have somewhere clean and convenient to sleep, this was perfect. If I had to go to another event in or near the city, I would totally book this place again.

This was possibly the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, I’ve ended up with a sore back due to the beds probably being as old as the building… like sleeping on concrete….. woken up in the night as the walls are not soundproofed, on two occasions in my stay I had to experience the sound of people having sex either side of my room. The reception staff were not very helpful when I raised my concerns…if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay look elsewhere…. Absolutely appalling. Great location however
