Welcome to Vega Villa, one of three boutique homes at Stellar Villas in Playa Langosta. Thoughtfully designed for relaxation and comfort, this bright and modern villa features open living spaces, two king bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a beautifully maintained shared pool.

Perfect for couples, friends, or small families, Antares Villa offers hotel-style comfort in a private, home-like setting just steps from the sand and a short walk to Tamarindo’s shops and restaurants.

Gabriel, our on-site caretaker, is available Monday–Friday (8 a.m.–2 p.m.) to ensure the property stays in top condition throughout your stay.
He maintains the pool and gardens, performs light cleaning, removes garbage, and handles small maintenance tasks — ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Please note that Gabriel speaks Spanish and focuses on property care rather than direct guest communication, but he is friendly, respectful, and discreet.

Secluded villa in Playa Langosta

Villa Vega was a private (and semi-private) retreat in the heart of Playa Langosta. The 2 bedroom guest house was perfect for our family, with a warm pool steps from our patio. The large bamboo palms create a tropical feel -- and the short walk to the beach took us to a beautiful coastline and sunsets. I surfed Playa Langosta almost very day. There are several wonderful restaurants in a short walk. We loved it.

Overall this is a nice property, it is kept clean and neat, security is good. Walking distance to a small grocery shop, 5 min walk to beach. 10-15 into town.

Great place!

The check in process was very easy and the communication with Tara was always great.Small issues that resulted from the previous guests were resolved immediately.Far enough from town to be quiet, but close enough to walk to everything you needed. I would certainly stay here again.Thank you Tara for being so easy to deal with and your property is perfect!

Slice of Paradise

An amazing 2 bed/2bath with everything you need and just steps to the beach, delicious restaurants and a 15 min walk to the towns centre. So lovely to have coffee every morning on your own little private patio oversee the greenery and pool. Tara makes sure to add the nice touch of having chairs, umbrella and coolers if you’re off to the beach. It was just like the photos and we were very happy with our choice.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay, there was some concerns in regards to water, but everything turned out to be ok. We had to check in late after long day of travel, because the property was not clean. We went to a restaurant nearby, and were able to check in after we had an earlier dinner. I wish pool was cleaner, not sure if sump pump was working but the water did not look super clean. A welcome coffee and couple bottles of water would be great, it would not cost much but would show a hospitality by the host, especially given that we were not able to check in till later... One of the showers did not have enough soap, looked like cleaning services forgot to refill it. Other than that it was a nice stay, walkbale to the beach and restaurants.

Good Price, Great Location - There are Things to Know

Booking & checkin was fine - good communication. Met the property manager upon arrival, showed us around and had just turned on the AC units in each room. Were asked to turn off fans & all AC units when we were away from the villa. That was uncomfortable considering how hot it was & the unit in the master bedroom never got very cold which made sleeping uncomfortable. Other rooms were OK. Amenities within the unit need updated. Bottom of the blender was cracked & we lost half a bottle of tequila because when we took the blender off the stand, it was broken & flooded out. Knives are not sharp at all & basically useless. Top of the stove is cracked in multiple places & the coffee pot is old & stained. Cleanliness of it was questionable. Toaster oven worked just fine as did the microwave. The refrigerator was plenty cold & there were skillets & pans to cook. Last thing we were told during the check-in was that the Villa uses a 500 gallon water tank that is shared amongst all the units. Water is typically delivered every day, but while we were there, it was only delivered when the tank went dry. Yes, we ran out of water twice, which was very inconvenient & there was no alternative for showering. The property manager did try to get water as soon as possible, but anyone planning to stay here should be aware that this could be a problem & it’s not called out in the listing. We ultimately left a day early. Spent the last day of vacation looking for a new place & stressed vs. relaxing

Perfect location!

Tara was a phenomenal host, was easy to communicate with and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Location was close to everything but secluded enough that you didn't feel like you were in the hustle and bustle of the town center. Would highly recommend and stay at her place again.

Hello and Welcome! Being an avid traveler, several years ago I made my way to Costa Rica. Unlike many other countries I had visited Costa Rica instantly stole my heart; the warm and friendly people, the breathtaking landscape and the preservation of nature in its truest form captured me. I returned several times and decided this would be my new home but I wasn’t satisfied with keeping it all for myself. The properties I am hosting have given me the opportunity to share the amazing experiences I have here in Costa Rica with all of you.

Why they chose this property

THE LOCATION & SURF
Playa Langosta is located in the Guanacaste province; appropriately nicknamed the Gold Coast as it is the sunniest and most desirable beach destination in all of Costa Rica. It is easily accessible from a one hour beautiful scenic drive from Liberia (Daniel Oduber) International Airport. One of the common reasons for visiting Playa Langosta is its unbelievable surf. At the southern end of the sandy shoreline, the mouth of an estuary has an excellent surf break that often attracts boarders who prefer to hit the waves in a low-key, quiet area. The river mouth waves are short and fast, and are ideal for experienced surfers. Boasting both right and left breaks, Playa Langosta's waves typically peak at the same place, but surfers should still keep an eye out for rocks and coral here. Surfers will love coming to this area, as there are several other beaches in the region that feature great conditions such as Tamarindo, Playa Negra, Playa Grande and El Estero. Playa Grande has the most consistent breaks in the region and is popular for its surf spot called "La Casita". Playa Negra is another great spot to catch a wave, but is only recommended for expert riders as the break is very fast.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy the amenities that you would of a boutique hotel such as a refreshing pool, literally steps to the beach, maid service, and high speed wifi but without the crowds and lack of intimacy that you must endure in the hotel environment. The villas have been designed with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows in the living space yet each detailed with a different style.

If you have a large group please consider our Total Stellar Villa package. This will grant you full use of the entire property (all 3 villas) which will house 15 guests.

While the villas share the property, through the use of lush tropical landscaping we have supplied ample privacy for our guests. The villas each have their own entrance and plenty of parking is available. Each villa provides a fully equipped kitchen and eating area to prepare a family meal or allow one of our highly talented, world renowned, local chefs to create a feast for your palate and eyes.

Do not be fooled by other properties that claim to be "near" or a "short ride" to the prized Playa Langosta. We are in the heart of Langosta and a true, comfortable walking distance to Tamarindo whereas a car will not be needed. Many other properties will require a rental car to come down from the mountains or drive at least 20 minutes to get to the beach. With the Stellar Villas the beach is only steps away.
