Why they chose this property
There are three distinct communities close by: Markdale, Flesherton and Durham. You will find a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, art galleries and bookstores, clothing and gift shops in each of these places. In between, the conservation areas and managed county forests have numerous trails for hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and snow mobiling. The Bruce Trail and Beaver Valley Ski Club are within easy reach, and Owen Sound with a full slate of shops and services is just over half an hour away.
What makes this property unique
Blue Heron House is a relaxing, comfortable home on 4.5 acres of land including an ephemeral pond. Rabbits, foxes and lots of birds are frequently observed on walks on the easily accessed trails, or from the large three tiered deck. The enclosed garden space allows small children to play on the sloping lawn safely away from all traffic.
