The Cottage, Treliggon Farm, is positioned in rural hamlet 10 minute walk to the historical village of Lanivet, which is situated the centre of Cornwall with easy access to the north and south coast.
Lanivet is a picturesque Cornish village which has a traditional country pub serving locally sourced ingredients for fantastic meals, there is also a shop, fish & chip shop, hairdressers and post office and other amenities.
The historical church contains stained glass windows that mention Treliggon Farm. The farmhouse itself dates back to 17th century, the Cottage used to house farm animals until it was converted into farm workers accommodation many years ago.
The Cottage, which has been recently renovated, has a well equipped modern kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, wine cooler, fridge freezer, dishwasher, granite worktops and dining table & chairs seating for 6 + persons.
There is a well equipped games room which contains a pool table, table football and darts board. The landscaped patio provides a relaxing space to enjoy the fresh Cornish air.
The utility room has a washing machine and there is washing line in the garden, space to hang up wetsuits, and car parking at the front of the cottage.

The historic Saints Way (pilgrimage route from Padstow to Fowey) passes through Lanivet and there is easy access onto the route from The Cottage.
Lanhydrock House (National Trust) is a 5 minute drive away, as well as the historic building, there are acres of woodlands and grounds to explore.

We have a fabulous games room with pool table, table football and darts. Children must be supervised and only over 12's to use the pool tale please.

Family holiday

We had a great stay at the cottage. It is so peaceful.The pictures online don’t do it justice it is absolutely beautiful and huge! Very well furnished with everything we needed. The bedrooms are a great size and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch. My family really enjoyed the games room and outside space. The directions that we received from the hosts were really helpful and we found the cottage with no problems. Really good place to use as a base, the coast is within easy reach. I wish we could have stayed for longer and I would definitely recommend for a larger family. Thank you Hattie and Ollie for a fab stay.

Absolutely all round excellent

This is a super holiday let for a family especially with varied ages of children. The place was immaculate, the hosts had thought of more or less everything. Kitchen really well equipped, beds were very comfortable, lounge was great with lots of space. A real bonus is the games room, so so useful for somewhere for the kids to go and be amused. Perfect. Great outdoor space with super patio furniture and BBQ. The area is lovely, picturesque and quiet. Not far from beautiful Cornish beaches. Hattie and Oli were really helpful and very friendly. Very easy to approach. Really nice touch of a small hamper from them to welcome us. Would certainly recommend and we hope to stay there again.

This is an excellent Cottage. 5*

This property is probably the nicest we have stayed in as a family. It was exceptionally clean and decorated to an excellent standard. It is thoughtfully laid out with lots of homely touches. It’s location is great as it made it easy for us to drive to either the north or south coast - we did both - north coast for body-boarding and south coast for upright paddle boarding, and lots of coastal walking, where we saw seals!! The games room was mentioned in a couple of reviews we read - it really was as good as the reviews said it was. It is such a good space for family games and the teens enjoyed it as much as the parents. The garden at the front is perfectly suited to the badminton set. The outside tap and wetsuit hanging area was well used - there was lots of family-friendly touches like that from hosts who clearly understand the needs of families on holiday. We read reviews before we booked and we noted that some reviews mentioned that they were going to book again and predictably, we will be doing the same!

Such a fantastic cottage! Highly recommended.

We booked this cottage for an extended-family break and wow, we were blown away by how amazing it was. There were 4 adults and 3 children in our group and yet the cottage accommodated us easily, its huge. It was cleaned to a very high standard and incredibly comfortable throughout. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that you would expect plus thoughtful touches like a picnic set, and a separate wine fridge. The large dining table was extendable so we could all eat together in the kitchen which was fantastic. A child’s dining chair was provided too. There were lots of books and DVDs (but we didn’t really get time to benefit from these because we were in the games room!) The bedrooms were all very spacious and are equipped to a high standard – the beds were amazingly comfortable. The showers were large and there is a lovely deep bath which was even better due to the bath salts that were available to use (another very thoughtful touch!) There is a games room with a pool table, darts board and table football which proved very popular and also a badminton set which we set up in the garden. There is also a large BBQ and wetsuit drying facilities out back. Hattie and Ollie were the perfect hosts, we saw them as we arrived, and they were so friendly and welcoming. Although they live next door, they were not intrusive in the slightest, we didn’t see or hear from them again. (They did say that we could call them with any queries/questions – we didn’t need to as there were instructions for all appliances in the welcome folder.) The only downside is that we all felt that our break wasn’t long enough! We are already looking at dates for next year as our main holiday accommodation as it really is a beautiful property set in a beautiful part of the world. I really can’t recommend it enough.

The Cottage is a beautiful, spacious but cosy three bedroom former farm workers cottage which has been recently renovated to a high standard. It is attached to the main farmhouse and has its own outside patio area.
The Cottage has central heating, double glazing and there is a log burner in the lounge for chillier autumnal evenings.
There is a selection of games and books in the lounge for guests to borrow.
The well equipped kitchen boasts dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, granite worktops, there is a washing machine in the utility room and a drying line in the garden.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, TV and an ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 2 has a king sized bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and TV.
Bedroom 3 has wardrobe, chest of drawers and TV and can be configured as follows;
* King sized bed or
* King sized AND two single beds (family room) or
* Four single beds . Please let us know your requirements.
The recently refurbished family bathroom contains shower, bath, toilet and sink.
Outside there is a games room which contains pool table, table football and dart board (please supervise children), badminton set. The patio captures the evening sun and there is a BBQ and outdoor furniture so you can enjoy an alfresco meal and drinks.

The Cottage is ideally situated in the centre of Cornwall, giving easy access to both the north and south coast.
National Trust property Lanhydrock, is a 5 minute drive away. Here you will find a historic house, acres of parkland, and beautifully tended gardens. There are off road mountain bike routes, and bikes can be hired from the bike centre.
The world famous Eden project is a 15 minute drive away .
The Cottage and the Farmhouse are, themselves historical. In the farmhouse garden, there is a Grade ll listed Cross. The farmhouse features in two stained glass windows in the village church in Lanivet.
Lanivet village has a pub serving quality meals, a chip shop as well as a well stocked convenience shop.
