Welcome to the Lakeside Hideaway. Where you can rest and reconnect with Family and Friends making memories that last for a lifetime.

Here you’ll be able to enjoy every season Northern Michigan has to offer with tranquil moments and sunsets that will leave you breathless. This three bedroom spacious home comes with updated furnishings yet comforting decor of being on the lake. Parents get the master bedroom that comes with a comfortable Queen size bed while Family and Friends get to choose from the other two bedrooms. One with two full size beds and the other with a full and two twins!

Located on a small, no-wake lake, you can enjoy beverages and snacks on the front patio watching the little ones make a splash in the water or build a sand castle on the beach. Or! Simply take the two available kayaks out with your Friend and enjoy some laughs catching up! Bring your SxS or Snowmobiles up as well to enjoy seasonal activities too! Local trails are just a 1/4 mile down the road. Then for dinner, come on back and fire up the gas grill on the spacious side deck to enjoy your favorite Family time meals together!

The Lakeside Hideaway comes with two living rooms for multiple entertainment options and both offer comforting wood heat sources during the cooler months. Family and Friends can cozy up while watching their favorite movie in one living room while you’re enjoying the wonderful sunset views over the lake all the way from the kitchen while you’re cooking up a delicious meal.

During the evening time, listen to the crickets, the loons and the jumping fish in the water as you light the bonfire to gather everyone around to share s’mores and stories with to end the day. However, just before you go, be sure to sit down with your morning coffee and reflect on your stories that were made at the Lakeside Hideaway by sharing them in the guest book to carry on our time tradition of telling stories of Family Friend fun. We love to read them!

*The Lakeside Hideaway offers access to two kayaks and a small fishing boat. 2, life vests are available
*Want to bring your own boat? Not a problem! A boat launch is just across the lake and the home has a 100 foot dock that is ready to tie up to! This is a small, 80 acre, no wake lake. Much larger lakes are just nearby for more water entertainment.
*Spacious yard to play around on
*Parking. Plenty of parking on property for 6 cars and two trailers. Parking on the street is not allowed.

Weekend Getaway

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and enjoyed the secluded area. We really enjoyed being on the lake and the kayaks and little boat left for our use. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get away and relax. The property was very clean, and well equipped as described

Great Stay

The place was perfect! Beautiful views of the lake and we appreciated kayaks and a small row boat were provided as well. Jamie made everything very easy for our group and we would absolutely come back - thank you!

Sandy's 80th birthday/family reunion

This was the best family get together we could have ever had! Comfortable beds, clean, quiet and relaxing. Lots of room for hanging out together or separately. We plan to come back every summer.

Hi I'm Jamie Snook! I am so happy you're staying at the Lakeside Hideaway! One of our many hidden gems filled with nature, peace and memories. I just love this place and it took my Husband Jon and I an extra 6 months to get this home ready to share with yourselves! Its just beautiful and oh so peaceful... it was hard to stay focused lol. I began hosting years ago. I come from a culinary background and hospitality is what I love to do! Creating delicious fresh food and beverages, bringing people together and listening to stories is what I crave! Creating a cozy, clean environment is what I personally love and I can only hope it carries over to your stay at our places. But nothing beats Northern Michigan. I love walking and exploring it. I really enjoy yoga and taking in the beautiful sunsets with my Husband on the water and in the winter time, we enjoy snowmobiling together and staying warm by the wood stove lol.

We choose this locations because of the lake size, the neighbors and the house. It was a no brainer. The people are just wonderful, so do respect their privacy by keeping noise low... it carries easily on the lake.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This house is definitely unique! Theres all these little quirks all over it. It started as a small home and throughout the years it was added on to. So each section of the home has a different style. I tried to tie in each room style, but you'll find odd trim pieces placed all over the wooded walls, different tile grouting and unique fishing tools throughout the home that were repurposed. I hope you enjoy it all and maybe get a "what were they thinking" chuckle.
