Disappointed
Great area. The biggest challenge was the cleanliness and lack of responsiveness / support to resolve the issue. We arrived in the evening to find the house very dirty. The first thing we noticed was the floor, so we messaged the host, and eventually googled the hosting company to find a number to call, who then did come over to mop the floor while we decided to step out for dinner. After we came back, we noticed the bathrooms were disgusting (hair in the tubs, toilets clearly hadn’t been cleaned), which we then spent hours cleaning (with our own supplies) after being on the road 2 days to get there. We changed the sheets in one bed because of how much hair was in the sheets (not from us). When we called the host prior to us cleaning, he was emphatic the home was cleaned prior to our arrival. If so, it was disgusting and a new cleaning service should be considered. The host offered to come clean the house the next day, but we needed to use the house that night, so we ended up cleaning all the bathrooms and kitchen. Additionally, one room had a foul enough odor that after a few days, we just stopped using it. Several of the other rooms had a strong foul odor as well. The owners did stop by and were very kind and responsive when maintenance items were identified. We stayed here for 30+ days due to a corporate relocation and overall, yes, this is a pet-friendly location, but based on the cleanliness challenges, this was a very stressful stay for our family.
