Built in 1920 as a sharecropper's house, it has been lovingly brough back to life. A beautiful retreat from Current Times 1-bedroom house. Nestled in a peaceful setting, guests can unwind in the serene atmosphere, unique with antiques, decor and misc. items like a turn table with ample albums to listen to. The cozy bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, while the living room offers an additional space with a sofa bed for extra guests. Our stay was very enjoyable. The house is so cute. We loved the decor it felt like home. I love how the house is tucked away for a little bit more privacy. Our host was very kind and communicated quickly with us.

Perfect Hill Country Retreat

We loved our stay so much and will definitely stay again when we return the area. The house exceeded my expectations. It had everything we could need and was the cutest eclectic mix of antiques and soul. I would love to go shopping with Deb! Deb had great communication. Great location!

Great Blanco gem!

Wonderful little cottage in the heart of Blanco. So clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again during a visit to the area.

Loved it!

“Ethyl’s Place” was even more charming than advertised. Just less than a mile from the heart of downtown Blanco, it sat perched full of character and full of history. There is an awesome back-story of the restoration process of the house that the Homeowner shares and invites you to be a part of.“Ethy’s Place” was intimate, cozy and the perfect place to lay low with loved ones for a few days. Will definitely be back!

Great experience

The property was so charming and cozy. The bed was super comfortable. Our host was great to work with and even gave us a refund on our first night because we weren't able to make it because of car trouble. We would definitely stay there again.

We will surely want to stay there again. Lady has done a great job of refurbishing an old share cropper home. Very well furnished and very comfortable.

Great place to “chill”!

We loved this house … so cute and cozy! Love the history and the location is perfect … right off of Main Street and just a couple of miles from the town square. Deb is a great host and the house has everything you might need.

Quality stay

Communication with the host was easy and was willing to do what they could to make my stay great. Property was clean and notes were left for where all the cleaning supplies were along with extra towels. Plenty of amenities to have a comfy and enjoyable stay

Cute home, clean interior, great location, and within a quick drive of several State Parks, local breweries, and local eateries. Comfortable bed, great amenities, and accommodating host. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Incredibly charming and comfortable gem!

We absolutely loved this place!! The owner has done an amazing job making this completely adorable house your home away from home. We came for our anniversary and the second we stepped foot inside we were impressed. Rustic, well cared for, clean as a whistle, has everything you need, and has all the little touches that make a rental special. From old light switches to decor that add character. Forget a basic hotel room, rent this place. It was very easy to find, central Blanco. We used it as a jumping off point to Fredericksburg and surrounding area with incredible value for your budget and had that extra X factor making it a special stay. Many thanks to the owner! VRBO never disappoints :)

Super cabin

The property was absolutely amazing. Host did an excellent job of keeping the old with the new. I would highland recommend this cabin if you appreciate the uniqueness of the old houses. Found no issues with the cabin or the host. The host was very accommodating and check with during the stay to see if we needed anything. I am planning to return here every chance we get.
