Get some Bear's Den Zen at a beautiful lakefront cabin. Three bedrooms up plus full bathroom - one King, two Queens. Great room on main with newly renovated kitchen and bathroom with shower. Large dining table with a view to the lake through south-facing French doors that lead to a massive deck with ample seating and stairs to the large grassed yard with a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs - roasting sticks provided. Lots of room to have fun in the yard with provided lawn games. The seating area next to the beach with an adjoining dock is a great place to watch your friends and family play in the water or set off on a peaceful kayak or SUP (provided). It is also an idyllic place to have a coffee and watch the sunrise or have a drink and watch it set!
Lots to do - swimming, fishing, kayaking, SUP, canoeing, hiking (Trans-Canada Trail), biking, bird watching. In the winter the lake freezes allowing for skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing.
1.5 hours from Kelowna, 1 hour from Summerland, 45 minutes from Princeton.

Lovely lake get away

Wonderful family property full of interesting history. I would have like to know I needed to bring towels, kitchen clothes and sheets before I started my vacation. I have allergies to scented products and feathers so will be prepared to bring my own blankets & pillows if we are able to return

The best getaway

I’ve stayed at quite a few vacation rentals and this was one of the best. Osprey Lake is very peaceful with a natural beauty. Our stay at the Bear’s Den was wonderful in so many ways. Kayaks, paddleboard, rowboat, lawn games, board games all provided. Kitchen is very well organized and has everything you would need. The road from Summerland was a little narrow and windy just so you are aware but the other direction towards Princeton is all good Communication with the host was always answered promptly. We hope to return again.

Very clean and well equipped place!

The cabin was so well stocked and furnished. There was a fan in every room, spices and condiments in the pantry, tools, tape, pens, some kids toys, colouring supplies and games. The yard was perfect, the covered patio was great during the storm. I appreciated that the doors and floors were very quiet (perfect for sleeping kids).

Had a great time at The Bears Den, would definitely come back again! Loved the water sports equipment that was included. I do recommend bringing your own water, as the filter does take some time to refill.

Peaceful friends and family time

We loved the place! It’s right on the lake where we spent most of the time finishing and kayaking. The house has everything you need except the bed sheets and towels.

Family vacation

Bears den is a great sized cabin 7 of us still had space. Enjoyed all the out door toys and games they supplied. Great yard to have lots of room for games and relaxing!! Thank you gir opening up your home!

Perfect relaxing family fishing trip

The property was clean and very nicely stocked with many things to do. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Neighbors were also friendly. Biking around the lake was fun and the fishing was good. Defiantly recommended and would do it again.

Our favourite spot!

This is our second time renting Joy's place and it will not be our last! We love the home and the location, plus Joy is very responsive and a pleasure to rent from. It really is a special spot.

Annual Memorial weekend

this is our 6th year at the beautiful "Bears den". Views are spectacular from the lazy boy chairs on the deck. Easy to fish right off the dock. Kitchen is very well stocked. 2 fridges are really handy. Just feels like a second home.peaceful location. Thank you.

Great Stay

Enjoyed our time here. Locations was great and was nice to have the kayaks and paddleboards available for use. Neighbors were friendly. Deck was great and overlooks the lake. Fishing was a little slow when we went, might have been the timing of when we were there. Overall, would return to this cabin!

A surprise birthday weekend

I rented this property for my husbands birthday and surprised him with a weekend away from the kids with friends and it was everything we imagined it would be. Idyllic location and wonderfully clean and spacious for 7 people it didn’t feel crowded at all. And had everything we wanted or needed.

Lakeside Paradise

We gathered to celebrate a 50th birthday and we had the best time! This place has it all and we made good use of it: coffee on the deck in the morning, walked the Kettle Valley Trail around Osprey Lake, kayaked, swam in October!, used the stand up paddle board and the row boat-so much fun. Sunny days spent lounging in the deck by the dock, stunning views all around us. Cabin itself was well stocked, beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the wood stove and cozy living room. The large dining room table was perfect for 6 of us. All in all, a perfect weekend getaway, it was exactly what the birthday girl wanted. Would highly recommend!

Osprey Lake is beautiful! The Bear's Den was very cozy and had all the amenities for a great stay. We fished, kayaked, rode our bikes around the lake and enjoyed beautiful campfires. Thank you!
