Misleading

We looked around and left within 5 minutes. It was not clean, no blankets on beds, holes in closet doors. The backyard was unkept.

Terrible and disgusting house

DO NOT STAY HERE!! This property is not at all like the pictures. The entire place was very dirty. Not clean at all and so disgusting. We came in at 11pm our first night and the house had the AC locked at 50 degrees. It was freezing and the only way to heat up the house was sketchy space heaters. Unfortunately that was the least of the problems. Every single piece of furniture had a ton of stains on it. Most looked like it was never even tried to clean them. The kurig in the kitchen was full of black water with mold growing in it. The back door had broken glass and was unlocked when we checked in. None of the doors fully closed leaving no privacy. Each door also had dents in it like someone kicked in the doors or hit them with a hammer. There was no soap in any bathroom as listed in the amenities. There was stuff on the walls and the floors were dirty. The host was also not responsive and did not address any issues. We left within 12 hours of being on the property and immediately went to a hotel and showered to feel clean. This house was unsafe and unsanitary.

Embarrassing for the host - horrible experience

From beginning to end, this was the worst experience I have had. Upon arrival, the house had not been cleaned and had a terrible smell. I contacted the host immediately and he told me that someone would come in the morning to clean. Needless to say, my family is not going to stay in a place that hasn't been cleaned. I told the host that I wanted to cancel the rest of the reservation and after telling me that he would refund me, he then changed his mind and refused the refund. I contacted VRBO and told the host exactly what he needed to do to cancel my reservation and send me my money back...again, he refused. If I could give negative stars to this experience, I would. Also, the description of the property is not at all the reality. 'Gourmet kitchen', sure, if you consider appliances from the 70s, 'your own private oasis in the backyard where lush greenery...' it was a yard full of dead dried weeds and there is no fire pit, let alone chairs to sit in. I still don't know what the smell in the house was. Probably better not to know. How these people get away with blatant false advertising and poor cleanliness practices and are still allowed to post this on VRBO is just embarrassing.

Terrible - completely misleading description

Bad experience. The manager sent details in advance for property access and asked us to park "on the driveway or in the street." Turned out that the property was on a six lane road, where parking on the extremely busy street was impossible . When we complained about that, he responded that it was up to the guest to verify the location for their specific needs - but while you have an approximate location in advance, you don't get the exact location until you've paid - at which point the booking was nonrefundable. That also meant that their description of it as an ultimate getaway "nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Littleton" was totally incorrect. The "warm embrace of a spacious living area.... the sumptuous couches.....the welcoming ambiance that defines this enchanting sanctuary" turned out to be a small living space as you entered the front door and very old couches. The "gourmet kitchen with modern appliances" turned out to be a reasonably sized kitchen with old appliances . The trash can had stinking garbage in it. The tiled floor had holes and cracks.One bedroom had a large patch in the wall. The bathrooms were dirty and there was an electric socket with a hole in it. The yard "lush greenery and private oasis" was a chain link fence around a some very patchy dried out grass. No firepit. We asked for a full refund and left. Told that he would give us a partial refund if the property was relet. Only message since was asking for a positive review - no refund.

Needs a lot of work

I could go on a tangent about how poor this property was compared to other properties, but i do know that the day we were checking out, there was a construction worker there to do some renovations. So I will assume that they just hadn't got around to fixing up the property before my stay. Check google street view also. I should have done more research.

Good location and pet friendly!

It is an older house, but it was in good condition and everything worked. Easy place for pets with the back yard.

Pictures are very deceiving not updated!

The beds seemed new and comfortable. Lots of nice towels. The bathrooms were awful with black stuff in the showers and black electrical tape and 2x4s holding up the sink! Coffeemaker and no coffee pot. So disappointing!

Pet Friendly

The nice part about this property is you can bring your dogs. It needs some TLC and yard clean up for sure, but it was a great location for us. There was a little delay in getting the checkin info which was frustrating and made our group late for a concert, but other than that we had a great stay.

House has mice. Sink in downstairs bath is propped up with a 2x4. Needs a lot of work. Yard is not maintained two skillet, that it no pots and pans. There is more

Great! Spacious and huge beds!

We stayed here for a trip to visit family and see an event at University of Denver. Yes it’s a busy street but there is plenty of room In driveway to turn around so you can leave without backing up. The beds and linens were new and clean. We had plenty of clean towels to use for the duration of our stay. We loved the floor plan and the early risers on the main floor did not disturb the family who were sleeping on the basement level. The host Jeff was available for us if we needed anything. Our two pups were able to enjoy the property as well. We cooked a complete family dinner for 10 people and it was a success! Had a wonderful time in Denver. We will definitely be returning and using a Jeff property!

Great Stay for the Value

Best stay for the price! There are downsides to the location, like staying on a busy street, but that's beyond the owner's control. Other than that we really enjoyed our time!

A great stay in southwest Denver

We had a great stay at this property. It was very convenient for the event we were in the area for. The property is located on a very busy street, so be prepared for that when arriving and departing. Parking is in the driveway, but we were able to back out easier with the stoplight up the street. Jeff was a great host!

Good Budget Stay!

I've read a few of the reviews on this property and I have to admit, it's a bit surprising what people expect for $67/night rate. In my opinion, this property is a GREAT DEAL for the price. Is it fancy? NO, but it is very functional and if price is a concern and you want something on the cheap but functional...I recommend this place.

Mixed review

The house was clean and comfortable but there were some things that needed attending to: towel racks needed in the bathrooms, lightbulbs needed replacing. The locations was central to lots of things but it was on a busy street and getting out of the driveway was sometimes challenging.

Out of town funeral

The place is larger then it looks, but has a cozy intimate dining area with the living room attached. It allows many people to hand out in this area. It is an older home with a coats of paint applied to upgrade rooms. Carpet is clean and newer. The kitchen is small but very functional. If you plan on gourmet cooking, you might need to plan ahead but they do have spices. The neighborhood is not upscale, but we did not plan on hanging out outside. It is a convenient walk to a 7- Eleven. The bathroom amenities are included and higher end shower products. Plenty of parking and easy communication with the property owner.

BLACK MOLD, BROKEN WINDOW AND MORE

The owner was easy to talk to through email, but when I called he did not answer and NEVER called me back. We arrived and the house was 90 degrees, the AC unit was frozen. When we came back later that night from visiting with family the house was 84 degrees. Owner told us he would send out HVAC and by 10:30 the next day no one had came. The front window was broken and still to this day has not been fixed. A drawer was missing in kitchen. Downstairs bathroom shower had lots of BLACK MOLD, and a 2x4 was holding up the bathroom sink, (don't let pictures fool you, they have to be old) There was a hole in ceiling of one basement bedroom, the TV in upstairs master did not work. There is NO way it was professionally cleaned. I run many VACATION rentals in AZ and I would NEVER let someone rent a place with that filth! I wish I could upload the pics I have but VRBO doesn't allow it. We ended up leaving the home to a hotel because nothing was taken care of in timely manner. This are the responses I got from him while communicating through email "So I'm not sure what you thought you were getting but everything in the listing is described as true and accurate." Then clean the house and take care of broken items. The pics DO NOT reflect the broken items or the mold, or holes in ceiling. "Shannon, I am shocked at your allegations. This is a great house it's affordable on a budget there is no mold in that house" So he is calling me and other renter earlier this year liars because there is mold in basement shower, I have pics to prove it. I WOULD ask for current pics that all these items are taken care of before renting. The location is great and beds are comfy. House is old and I get that but these items HAVE to be taken care of

Good place

This property is in a good location, there are places to eat within walking distance, we really enjoyed the pizza place right next to the property, and there was a grocery store about 3 mins away. The property is big we were a group of 7. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Below average accomodations

First, we had a bug problem. The owner was not aware of the issue beforehand so we figure the cleaning crew/previous guests left a window or door open for too long at one point There were many large junebugs and I have pictures to back it up but VRBO won't let me upload them. The main level bedroom had 5 alone at one point and it took a good bit to kill them all. I informed the owner during our stay and he said, "We do get a crop of flies in the spring in Colorado, I can send the maid over to check it out". We did not take him up on the maid coming out since that would not do anything. The owner then had the audacity to claim this after our stay, "If I knew you weren’t satisfied or wanted further action I would’ve sent an exterminator over or whatever you wanted. You can’t complain after your trip and ask for a refund? Makes you look like a scammer and I’m sick of it." Two things wrong here. One, he recommended a maid, never said exterminator. Two, a scammer because I asked for a discount after our stay? If this was a hotel, it would have been entirely appropriate to document the issue during stay and then when checking out, ask for compensation. The owner is a hot head because I received this right after, "If you were so offended with it and get the hell out of my house. Don’t ever come back or stay in my property please good day". Jeff does not have to worry as I will not be renting from him again and I suggest you stay away from this incredibly mediocre rental. You can find better.
