Camp Dakota is an outdoor enthusiast's ideal location. Conveniently located to professional mountain biking trails, hiking trails, swim beaches on pristine Adirondack lakes and only 1 mile outside the town of Old Forge. This secluded location, situated on a 5 acre wooded lot with a private drive offers the tranquility of a mountain retreat, but the accessibility to all activities the park has to offer. Our home is perfect for 2-3 couples or a small family looking to get away and enjoy peace and quiet in the Adirondacks. You will enjoy quaint shops, great restaurants, local grocery store, brewery, beaches, boat rentals, water park, bumper boats, go-carts, miniature golf, mountain bike trails, various levels of hiking trails, kayaking, and stunning sunset views. There is a large master bedroom upstairs with a king size bed, a full size bed in loft area, and a a bedroom on the first floor with a queen size bed. There is a game room and an additional living area with TV in the basement. There are 2 full bathrooms, one is upstairs off the master bedroom and the other is on the main floor. The Living room on main floor has a fire place and 55" TV, and the loft area has a gas fire place and TV. There is a and desk/work space with high speed internet. Your Tube TV and live stream apps are available on all TV's.

*Our home is equipped with a Ring doorbell for security of the property.
*Home office set up: Desk with monitor is available for use by our guests.
* There is ample parking for vehicles and trailers.

We allow dogs but must be PAID FOR AT TIME OF BOOKING and sign a pet waiver.

Peaceful, cozy cabin in great location

Cozy cabin in a quiet, lovely spot surrounded by woods. Feels secluded, but conveniently located near town. The cabin had everything we needed, and we enjoyed fires in the beautiful fireplace every night. We would definitely stay here again. Exactly what we needed.

Great Home

We all enjoyed our stay here at Camp Dakota! Close to everything, yet very private. Loved the fire all weekend long. Very cozy and comfortable home. We will be back.

September in the woods

We had a lovely time at Camp Dakota! It is located within walking distance to State Trail Heads, short drive to Old Forge for shopping and close to Inlet & Eagle Bay for great hiking trails along Rt. 28 & Big Moose Road. The location is very quiet and peaceful.

Perfect wooden oasis

We booked this property to stay during our wedding weekend. It was perfectly hidden in the woods with owls hooing at night. If you’re looking for a quiet space to enjoy your Adirondack stay, look no further!

Great stay

Great location and very clean home. Property was very nice and porch was great. Photos of the main room make it appear slightly larger than it is but that’s not unusual for these listings. And we did have a family of six. Wonderful family vacation.

Nice family getaway

Overall a 4 star experience. I'll start with good. The location was absolutely perfect. Just out of town but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Very quiet place. The cabin was clean upon arrival and check in. Inside was spacious and outside had plenty of room for the kids to explore and play. Now the negatives. Upon arrival it was 90 plus degrees outside. The listing of the cabin showed AC (window mount). When we went inside there was nothing. First floor was fair at about 78⁰ but once you went upstairs, it was unbearable. I looked for a contact number in the welcome binder which had all the directions and such listed. I found a number and called it. Well, it was the previous owners number. Somehow their number had not been removed yet. I was about to call the next contact number listed, but my wife found an AC unit in the basement. So away I went carrying the AC up to the first floor. I wasn't expecting to play the HVAC installer while on vacation. One other inaccurate part of the listing, was a fully furnished kitchen. There really wasn't a lot of furnishings. The cabin essentials are more so set up for maybe a quick 2 night stay w a few people. If you plan on staying all week with a larger family (4 plus), bring paper plates, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, spices, and a pot or 2. All in all, still a great place and a great stay.

Family Getaway

We had a lovely stay at Camp Dakota. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Our grandsons loved the house and had a wonderful time in town, at the waterpark and fishing. We would definitely stay at Camp Dakota in the future.

Amazing property

The cabin far exceeded our expectations! It was easy to find. Close enough to Old Forge but you felt like you were in your own cabin in the woods! It was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed! We’ll definitely return! Thank you, Susan!

Great place to stay in Old Forge

Camp Dakota was great for a weekend stay in Old Forge. The wide covered porch, fire pit and close proximity to downtown were great. Family had a great time. Would recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Old Forge.
