Property owners unavailable and don't care. Stay away from this place.
This is a great property- clean, modern, great location to Rice and medical area, very quiet, with off-street garage parking.
I loved it until the first night of my stay when I discovered that there was no electricity in the living room or bedroom, no lights at all in the bedroom and only one dim bulb in the ceiling of the living room. Oh and the TV didn't work.
The next morning the electromechanical lock failed several times.
I reached out to the property owner via the app and the phone number (unmonitored) after each problem arose and got one in app response back to "reset the breaker."
All the while I was getting automated notifications on the VRBO app from the owners asking how my stay was going.
The owners are unengaged and clearly don't care. I later found out that the place is managed by a sleazy property management company with very poor reviews.
Don't risk your safety with this place.
When I contacted VRBO about the problems I experienced during my stay they suggested I contact the owner. I told them that the owner never replied to any of my concerns (except to reset the breaker). They again suggested I contact the property owner. Hah!
When I asked about a discount for the inconvenience I experienced, VRBO responded that they don't escrow funds or pariticpate in negotiating disputes between hosts and guests.
Surprised and disappointed that VRBO protects the host but has no interest in protecting the guest.
I will be very wary about using VRBO in the future.
