Very bad experience with this Vrbo.

The absolute worst Vrbo experience i have ever had. Long story short, we were absolutely being watched, had multiple harassment from the host. Don't go to this place . She will try to scam you on deposits. Harass you and make you leave before your initial check out date. We had multiple harassment from the host. She call the cops on us from the very first day we checked in. Try to scam us $500 as deposit which was not even on the contract form. Keep patching on us. We had to leave a day before our check out date because the harassment was too much. We endup getting an airbnb and spend the the rest of our time there without any harassments.

Great for Sleeping, not for Cooking

Good value for this 4 bedroom home, but be aware that this is not a home for cooking or spending a lot of time there. If you want a place to shower and sleep with lots of space and great air conditioning, this is the place for you. Bare bones furnished, as you can see by the photos. The beds were new and most were comfortable. Some strange aspects of this home: no mattress pads, not enough towels yet there were other items you might not expect. The kitchen has few cooking supplies, no microwave and the dishwasher does not clean the dishes. I contacted the host and she immediately went out to buy a whole set of flatware, plastic cups and more plates. She also brought over a usable skillet and pan large enough to boil pasta. We were grateful for that! Plenty of hot water for showers and doing laundry. No towel bars in one bath, one in other bath. Half bath downstairs had a hand towel and hand soap. Showers had hotel-like soap dispensers. No washcloths. This house is in a quiet neighborhood and has combination security locks on the doors of every bedroom that lock automatically. This could be good for some renters but was annoying and a potential safety issue with small children. We booked this home 8 months in advance for the weekend of the eclipse. Then just 9 days before we were to arrive, the host cancelled our arrival day. After much pleading she reinstated our original arrival day saying she would “work with the contractor.” Phew!

Host unprofessional unreachable at first.

We booked and payed in full two weeks ahead for a Thursday thru Sunday stay. Two days before our visit I get an email from host saying my request was accepted and my refund for Thursday was processed and that I was now scheduled to use the house Friday thru Sunday. I panicked since I did not request this and tried several times thru message and phone to contact host and nothing. Contacted vrbo and they told me host was not awnsering them either but that host had the right to cancel all or any days on your trip and refund you for such. Finally got a call back from host where she explained that vrbo had double booked her property for Thursday and that if we liked she could refund us for the entire stay. Given it was two days before our trip we couldn’t find anything comparable so we kept the Friday thru Sunday and just ended booking two hotel rooms for one night which ended up costing double what our refund was. Still not sure if it was vrbo or host but this is pretty sad. On top of that rental had a camera inside living room and we felt very uncomfortable and ended up placing a sock over it. Also the mattresses all still have the original plastic covers from store, I can see why but very noisy and uncomfortable. I usually don’t have the time or energy to write reviews but this time I am forced too.
