Misleading Photos

This property was clean and the communication from the hosts was very good. However, the photos of the property on VRBO are not accurate. Several big pieces of furniture (like the couch in the living room) are different than the furniture in the photos. Additionally, a lot of the furniture was in bad shape when we arrived. For example, the dressers in the bedrooms look like an animal has been chewing on the corners and several of the drawers don’t work. The house also has some strange quirks. There is a broken garage door that leads to the back yard—it does not open but it’s also not completely closed. There are also see-through holes in the frosted glass looking into the shower. Additionally, the front of the house is surrounded by a 10-foot privacy fence, which made us feel like the rest of the neighborhood was not very safe. Overall, we had a fine experience at this property. But we wish the photos and description of the property had been more accurate.

Quiet with Great Location.

We had a wonderful stay at this property over Thanksgiving! The house was quiet and private, which was perfect for our family—our kids slept so well every night. The location couldn’t have been better; it was centrally located, making it easy to visit everyone and everything we had planned in Houston. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip!

Fantastic stay!

A wonderful stay, in a great location, in montrose. I loved the warmth of the home and the inviting vibes it gave. I will definitely have to book again!

Catfish

Place was creepy and gross. We did not even want to walk around with our shoes off. Toilet seat is broken. Grass was tall and sewer clean outs were open out back with caps left off in grass with toilet paper on them. The rug in the living room was in bad shape. There were hairballs and random trash in the front entrance area. Basically seemed like a neglected property as an afterthought for a rental with a high price. Considering the fees you would hope it would be welcoming, clean and “serene”. The property was a far fall from staging pics on VRBO. The window in the bathroom was unlocked and open. We only noticed that for the quick in and out of the shower we took. The water pitcher in the fridge was a quarter full and looked old. We love old houses but this was just dingy and half baked. Very disappointing. I am not one to write reviews but this was not okay and feel as if the owners should be aware We took photos and videos.
