Sunlit Guinness House Beside the Phoenix Park
A modern space in a historical building. This bright and airy terraced home is equipped with everything you need for a stay in Dublin's fair city. The Victorian home is located in a friendly and safe neighborhood originally built for Guinness Brewery workers back in 1890.
There is parking in front of or at the side of the property, and is free. The city centre is 30 minutes walk. A city bus stop is across the street from the house. The LUAS(city rail) is 10 minute walk, and will also take you to Heuston Station - where you can take trains to Galway, Cork, Kerry, or Belfast.
The Space
***If the house is showing as unavailable on your preferred dates- please reach out, we might make an exception! We often keep it blocked for family and wait for personal messages from booking platforms***
From the outside, this is a typical Victorian artisan house originally built for Guinness Brewery workers back in 1890. Inside, you'll find a thoroughly modern refurbished gem that is airy, bright and equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay in Dublin’s fair city. This corner house, in a quiet cul-de-sac, is pure Dublin. From the foot-scraper outside (traditionally for wiping horse mess off your shoes!) to the cosy neighbourhood feel (the area has won several Dublin City Corporation awards for best kept region and houses) it’s the perfect base for your stay in Dublin. The house features two double rooms with double beds and is as family-friendly as they come.
The house has recently undergone several upgrades, such as new user friendly heating system and self check-in facilities. All beds have new linen and mattresses. The kitchen and utility area has new furnishings equipment and combination washer/dryer.
If you’re visiting with kids, you probably won’t need to bring the big things - we’ll have you covered! Upon request, we can provide a travel cot and stroller, high chair/booster seat, and some toys.
We want you to feel at home here.
Guests will have the full use of the house, which includes a spacious living room, two double bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and back yard for bikes & bin storage.
We’ll provide everything you need to make your stay stress free, including:
City maps, hop on hop off (city tour info), Linen, Towels, TV, WIFI - fast unlimited Internet, Hair dryer, Kitchen, Clothes washer Cooker, Conventional oven, Fridge/freezer USA and Europe electric plug adaptors. Basic kitchen needs. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk and even some wine & cheese.
Other things to note:
The stairs are considered steep by modern standards. There is a bannister on one side, however it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
We do share a wall with lovely neighbours and need you to consider this before booking. Our home is residential and folks here are not on holiday. Blend in! Become on of the locals! Be respectful and considerate.

Hello! You are very welcome.
Your hosts: James, Megan and 2 busy kids are happy to facilitate your stay and help you explore the area.
We lived in the brick Dublin house from 2004-2014. Before moving in, we reinvented the interior of the house to create a bright open space with a total remodel. We love our first home here in this truly unique award winning North Dublin neighbourhood. This property is now rented full-time with occasional availability for guests. Ask us to check your dates!
Megan is a Musician and Music Teacher. James, an Artist, a Designer, a Director and Research Manager. The kids are not ready to settle on a profession just yet other than as students (in school and of the world).
We love to travel and spend time with with friends and family.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad
When we decided to live here, we had already lived in 4 different addresses around the Stoneybatter area. We loved it. We had friends and community connections. We walked to work and easily catch a bus or train out of the city. We love the area and the house has incredible memories for us. We expect more in the future!
