Not the best experience
One night of our 3-night stay was cancelled due to the host double booking, so we had to find another place for the 3rd night, on a long weekend. The owner put us somewhere else on the property for the first 2 nights (there are a few cabins there). The cabin was really nice but the floor was *filthy* (we kept our shoes on). There was also something yellow and crusty on my sheets that looked like snot, which I didn't tell anyone in my group about because my kids were already grossed out by being there. All over the inside of the front door were dirty (dark brown) hand prints. Maybe because it was made available last minute? I was constantly trying to give the host the benefit of the doubt. I was travelling with three others, two of whom have some minor health issues. Switching places mid-trip was fairly inconvenient due to this. Plus I had to pay more for the 3rd night elsewhere. The host not once apologized for double booking us. Several times he made me feel like I should be grateful that I got a deal on a "nicer" place. He tried to refund for one night, but it wasn't quite right and he didn't seem to know how vrbo works so I had to call vrbo a few times to figure it out, rather than him doing it on his end (which is what's supposed to happen). I get the feeling that because he has several cabins, and he seems very busy, that he doesn't think bumping people around is big deal, but this was supposed to be a relaxing holiday, booked well in advance, and it was not relaxing.
