Villa Del Palmar Beach Resort & SPA is located on a quieter part of the El Medano beach away from the crowded areas but only few minutes away from the center of Cabo!

This is a family-friendly property which hosts a large variety of on-site activities including cooking lessons and theme nights.

This renovated ocean front resort allows you all day access to the beach and pools within a short walk from your room. Soak up the sun while admiring the views of the ocean overlooking the famous El Arco rock formation.

The Studio is ideal for couples but can comfortably accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children. An adult is 12 years or older. There is choice of either 2 double beds or one queen-size bed depending on availability. The studio comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, a pull-out sofa bed and balcony or terrace with furniture.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE
Cabo San Lucas International Airport is approximately 45 minutes and 30 miles away from the resort. The resort provides round trip transportation from the airport to the resorts at $42 per person.

REQUESTING FOR AN OCEAN VIEW
The resort is shaped like a horseshoe and each unit has private balcony where you can see the ocean. Some units have better ocean views than others (partial or oceanfront view) depending on where the location of the unit is. I don't own a fixed unit and therefore your preference or requests will only be honored during check in time based on availability. This is the resort policy that I need to follow so please understand.

A Great Resort but...

The unit and the overall resort were lovely! Everything was as described, and the resort staff were phenomenal—always eager to help and always with a smile. Beautiful views, full activity calendar (if you choose), and a great selection of yummy restaurants. We liked that there were multiple pools, including one for adults only. Violet was great with the few communications we had, and the pre-arrival concierge was helpful in getting us set up with the all-inclusive plan for meals and drinks. The only negatives, not reflective of the unit or property, but just the area in general, were the INTENSE waves in front of the property (we gave it about five minutes of being slammed around on our first evening and then found a much calmer place toward the marina where we rented loungers and an umbrella the rest of our stay) and the incessant peddling by the locals. It was literally a constant stream; I've never said, "no, gracias" so much in my life. It made it impossible to read my book and was downright annoying. I know that is just the way it is there and they are just trying to make a living, but it got old fast. We are such beach people, so this was maybe more disappointing to us than it would be to others. If you're a pool person, stay on the property and you'll be good!

Wonderful week in Cabo!

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Del Palmar from March 20-27. We had such a great experience. Even with the crazy spring break rush we hardly noticed. Our room was great and the staff at VDP are so helpful and friendly. Violet was so helpful leading up to our trip sending us an email about transportation and explaining all the amenities around the resort and information about the surrounding area. It made the time leading up to our vacation easy to schedule and prepare for so our stay could be worry free. Thank you so much!

Studio was nice but the two large dogs that barked all night, every night next door ruined it.

We complained to the front desk every night and their only solution was to move us to a non-ocean front view that was by all the spring break kids. No thanks. We asked security to contact the home owner to have them put their dogs in the house but he said no one lives there, they just have someone stop to feed the dogs each day. Sad.

Clean, well run property with excellent staff

My Wife and I enjoyed two weeks at the resort and enjoyed our entire stay. Medano beach was actually much nicer than I had expected, its a great location. Be wary if you are an avid ocean swimmer that the beach is steep and there can be a healthy "beach break" which could be difficult for older bathers, but its all quite manageable. Brought a surf rod with me and had fun fishing off the Playa just to the north of the resort great fun... Prices for food and drinks are worth investigating carefully depending on what type of package / vacation you are planning.

Nice weather and beautiful area

The place was nice and comfortable and the area is great. Disappointments - There is no free internet as the add implies. It is $10 per day per device and and doesn't work most of the time. - The area is inundated with beggars. Fighting them off gets old after a while - They promise an ocean view but you have to get lucky to get that. Our view was of the building next door with only a small partial ocean view. Good - Whale watching was great - golfing was great - Fishing was great, caught a 1-ft marlin - scuba diving was fun and easy

Mostly Good - we would to it again

Owner (Violet): very friendly and helpful. Resort: A little worn but still nice. Lot of families & children. 1 of 3 resorts together: Palmar, Arco and Estancia. Arco is newer, nicer, less crowded with fewer children. One can easily walk between Arco and Palmar; a trolley runs regularly between the two. The third resort, Estancia, is for private residence (only accessible to go to the restaurants). Pools: Pools at both Palmar and Arco are nice. At Palmar, pools are loaded with families and lounge chairs are taken early. Palmar has 2 smallish hot tubs (always full) and Arco has 4 large tubs. Spa: Spa at Arco is very nice. Staff: Very friendly. Expect to be invited to a TimeShare Presentation (not too pushy so it's all good). Food: Generally good but unfortunately, our first experience was the Taco bar and it was horrible. Pizza bar was excellent. Food at the sports bar was OK. Meals at El Patron (at Arco) were outstanding - the best grilled meat that I can remember. Dinner at Neptune (at Arco) was good. Buffets were typical & decent. Drinks: Almost all beer is provided in a can (only Mexican labels). The sports bar at Palmar has a tap with Light and Dark Modelo. Margaritas were OK - with lots of variability. A few bad, a few very strong, and a few just right. Room: The room is in the main entry building with a great view to the Arc (pretty much as the picture shows). Its not particularly fancy, but it works. Has a small kitchenette. The beds and pillows are firm (my wife and I fought over the softest pillow). The balcony sits right above the main dining buffet which has a nightly show. A cooking fan comes on at night, so it can be a little noisy but closing the balcony door pretty much fixes it. The nightly show is a little loud but we either went out or enjoyed the shows from the balcony (view is above and to the side). Dancing, Singing, etc. All Inclusive Plan: $105/person for each day (3-day min, did not need to be purchased in advance). I'm not sure we would do it again. AIP is good for most food & drinks but not all. You sign a receipt for every meal & drink & tip. Tips & premium items charged to the room, the rest is zeroed out. Prices charged (without AIP) were high. Happy Hour between 3 and 4pm with 2for1 drinks (without AIP). Small market & deli @ the Palmar is convenient for stocking the fridge (as expected, a bit pricey). Internet: $10.00 / day / device. Waste of money - extremely slow.
