I had read a review about the very situation, but I thought it was probably an isolated incident. I assure you it was not. We made our reservation for Nov 3 -6, 2022 and prepaid in August of 2022. This was supposed to be a very special celebration. On Monday, October 31st, I received a text from the property stating that for November 3rd there was not a room for me. They could accommodate me with a room on 4 -6, but not on the 3rd for which I had prepaid. They couldn't say how long their "offer" could be available to me, so I should let them know right away. I live in Ohio, the property is in Charleston SC. They would refund my money for the room for one night but refused to refund the tax that I paid for the room, which was substantial. I had to make another reservation for a hotel on the complete other side of town for November 3rd, then pack up and travel again. When we arrived we checked in (room not available until 4pm) and the desk attendant was very nice and apologized for the behavior of the property manager. She stated that they had no control of reservations at the facility. She then directed us to the concierge desk. Conner pointed out several areas of interest within the city and then began a sales pitch for their new vacation opportunity which included the property where we were staying and that it worked on a point system. It sounded like a Time-Share of some sort. He offered several attraction tickets if we would sit through a presentation. I shared with him that if the property manager couldn't get my current reservation correct, I certainly had no interest in any future relationships with them. The main elevators were not available for guests use due to renovation. The exterior door that we were told to use to get to our room was unlocked (even though there was a key card lock on it) and the interior of that door was absolutely filthy. I would love to share those photos. The room was nice, but there was renovation going on above us and I had to call the desk to ask when the hammering was going to stop? She said that she really didn't know. The hammering finally stopped and about 15 minutes later. Shortly thereafter a large, loud wedding reception was being held outside our window. I would never return and place my trust in a facility with these property managers again.
