Excellent Place to Stay

We absolutely loved staying here. It was beautiful and so easy to get to anything we needed. It was so comfortable and relaxing. We drove up from S.C for the weekend to enjoy the races at Rockingham Speedway. Our stay was amazing and we hope to stay here again next year!!! Thank you so much!

Nightmare Stay – Cockroaches & a Hostile Host

Our stay started well but turned bad. The 2nd night, my wife stepped on a live cockroach. When we contacted the VRBO host, we were met with hostility. During a call, the host blamed us, interrupted, raised her voice & rudely said "You must have brought the cockroach with you." We were seeking a peaceful retreat after losing 2 parents in 2 months, but the host's lack of care made it difficult. Pest control came 3 days later, confirmed roaches & showed us droppings under the sink, proving the issue existed before our arrival. We sent photos of both the cockroach & droppings to VRBO (with date/time stamps) & reported the host’s behavior to help future guests. We simply requested extra garbage bags to manage trash, as roaches apparently come out at night. The host refused, citing a contract that required us to provide our own. We didn’t ask for money or a refund, only basic care. Pest control eventually came, but the host’s dismissive & combative response was disappointing. We expected little and were treated very poorly & let the host know our review would reflect her behaviour. Additionally, the internet was unreliable, freezing often & we could hear every step from tenants above, including their dog. Cleanliness was lacking, especially under the beds & in cupboards, with the roach droppings. We left early for a better location at our own expense & found a good host. The condo had a good location & decent décor, but that was the only positive. Think twice before booking here!

Foxfire Getaway

The property was excellent. The condo had everything a guest would need. Just like geing at home. Very neat and clean.The only drawback, the pool was closed for the season and we had some hot days. The beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

Uncomfortable Stay

Pros: The place was clean, well stocked, and the host responded quickly. Cons: The internet was constantly not working. I work remotely and had to use my hot spot (if possible-signal is very bad there) or go into Pinehurst several times. That was extremely inconvenient and added a lot of unnecessary stress. When reaching out, i was just told to use a hard wire - that is not the wifi i paid for. The pool also wasnt filled this summer. The septic backed up while we were here. The motor in the loveseat failed. The upstairs tenants have a loud, noisy dog. The AC has a hard time keeping cool. Very tiny kitchen and bathrooms. Will not stay here again. Gave it 2 stars overall for cleanliness and I can see the host tried, but not worth the money. Never so ready to leave a place.

All was as expected; the place was well stocked (there was no coffee, except for one decaf pod, for the Keurig but we had our own, but there was tea, etc.); I even cooked a couple of sides for a couple of family gatherings and the place had every utensil I hoped for! We would stay here again if it was available on our next trip to see the family.

Quiet Retreat

The condo was perfect for our needs. Very close to the US Open. Many extras that were nice treats, such as snacks and personal hygiene products (toothbrushes and dental floss!) Only mild point of sadness was that the community pool was not open (opens on July 4th! which seems late for a resort community in the South?) Would definitely stay there again!

We were snowbirds for two months. We had zero issues the entire stay. Wasn’t the right time of year but we were steps from the pool and I walked to the golf course several times. Maybe a block and a half. Just realize you are renting an apartment with one above it. At times we could hear the neighbors, vacuum/ washing machine. We are going to use this rental again in the near future. Any questions we had were answered promptly.

Relaxing and comfortable

Very comfortable condo in relaxing Foxfire village. The condo had everything we needed, and the beds and chairs were perfect to chill out. We will definitely come back again!!

Great communication, house could have been cleaner, visible dust and hair left in one of the bedrooms, pool wasn’t open and people above us were very loud. But the property was nice, manager was awesome and flexible!!!

Exceptional

This was our first experience with VRBO, and it was exceptional. The host was easy to work with, check-in was a breeze, the condo was spotless,. It was quiet and provided everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of pots/pans, dishes, and utensils, even some pantry staples, coffee, and snacks. We were there for the Southern Zone Open Water Championship at Seven Lakes. Foxfire is conveniently located between the lake and Pinehurst/Southern Pines. We would love to stay in this unit again next year.

First Timer

First time using VRBO and what an awesome experience. Listing was accurate and cleanliness of condo was perfect. Very pleased with the property. Jesse was wonderful and prompt. Look forward to using this unit again.
