Welcome to the Shadyside Lodge, a cozy two-bedroom two-story home in the heart of Shadyside. This house was recently renovated and has been furnished by a professional interior designer with a luxury-contemporary touch. This space features a private backyard area with a picnic table and lights, a large 65 inch smart TV, a new Keurig with complementary pods, fresh towels and linens, two work spaces, and much more.

The living room has a pull out sofa futon and a large 65 inch smart TV. The kitchen has a dining room table and a stool table for guests to enjoy their meals. In addition, the kitchen comes fully stocked with cooking materials and a brand new stove, fridge, and dishwasher. You can also use the Keurig (and complementary creamer, sugar, and coffee pods) as well as the toaster. Upstairs you will find one room with a nice queen bed, desk, closet, and dresser. The other room has two full beds, a closet, and a nice work desk. All of our mattresses and linens are highly researched and highly rated.

Shadyside Lodge Parking Guide Reminder

We usually will park right out front of Shadyside Lodge or on Summerlea St. You technically need a residential parking permit but we have never actually received a ticket. If you want to be extra cautious, you can park at Shadyside Centre Commons which is located at 5750 Centre Ave and costs $10.00 per 24 hours.

Great location.

Brought my kiddos with us to this townhouse and at first the exterior looked… unexpected. I didn’t realize it was a townhouse//had conjoined living and the exterior brick just looked old, but never judge a book by its cover, as they say! The inside was great. The rooms were comfy. All the amenities you need were there including a back area for our doggy to go potty! And then the location… seems to be nearby universities so some younger folks around, but all respectful and responsible! No noise complaints etc. walkable to grab Coffee, breakfast, head up the road for lunch or dinner! Driveable to downtown, incline, museums etc- within 15 min. Loved it. And LOVED Pittsburgh. We’ll be back!!

Comfortable, Cozy and Clean

We stayed at this home while visiting our Daughter at Pitt and it was perfect for our needs. There was a parking spot right out front which is a huge plus in Pittsburgh. The property had everything we needed such as towels, sheets, toiletries and most importantly k-cups and all the fixings for coffee. Our host was very communicative, making check in and out a breeze.

Quick trip to Shadyside

Our daughter lives and works in Shadyside and we love to visit. We travel with our small dogs. This was a great location for us - very close to Ellsworth and great restaurants. It is walking distance to Highland and Walnut streets which have lots of great shops and restaurants. It is a very dog-friendly area as well. The parking was easy and the apartment had everything we needed! Would love to stay here again.

Beautiful Home in Shadyside

Very cozy and cool two story home. Great for a group of four. It’s light and well furnished and has a fenced in yard with a picnic table. The owner is accessible and friendly. Highly recommend!

Enjoyable place to stay, some issues

We had a good stay at this property. There were a few small issues we experienced -- the first was that the downstairs of this property had a significant smoke smell. Thankfully the upstairs did not smell as much. We also had a concern with the parking situation, since the host indicated that "technically you need a residential permit" to park in the recommended location. Thankfully we didn't experience any parking-related issues.

Great Location and clean

We are a family of 3 and we stayed at this property for 2 nights. The following is our review of the property: Pros: * The property is very clean and spacious * The location is great, close to downtown and universities * Hot water is great, water pressure is also great * The beds are very comfortable, thick memory foam Cons: * We never receive the entrance code to the property. When we contacted Tom, the secretary was the one who answered and she gave us the wrong code. since the code didn't work on the door, she gave us another code to open the lockbox to get the physical key and that didn't work either. After being outside in the cold for 1.5 hrs finally, Tom calls us and gave us the correct code. * One of the beds looks wobbly. Upon further inspection, we noticed both of the bed's front legs were broken. The bed can not be used. * The lights in the living room (both the ceiling fan light and the table light by the front door) do not work, they may need new lightbulbs. We have to use our phone lights to navigate our entry from the front door when we come home at night. * The TV does not work, maybe need a new battery for the remote control. * One of the chairs at the dining table was also wobbly. * The wifi network and password provided on the table were not correct. After 1/2 hour of looking, we found the correct one printed on the back of the router. All our concerns have been communicated to Tom during our stay and he said he will fix them later.

Cute inside/Sketchy outside

We were surprised by the alley and open door “vacant garage” beside this apartment. We felt a little vulnerable when the code to the door didn’t work. We got through to the host in 5 minutes which helped, but I wouldn’t recommend for women traveling alone or older couples. It is very cozy and sweet on the inside however. Young adults would love it and the local shops and cafes are great.
