Country Cottage Retreat, Fido stays for free

A great place to unwind, take strolls in the woods or along country roads. Watch wildlife and great-winged birds. It is less than 15 minutes from the village of Rhinebeck. This two-bedroom, one bathroom cottage sits on 6 cleared acres with an additional 22 wooded acres for hiking. It has a cozy screened in porch and a beautiful stone patio, both with stunning views. There is ample outdoor space to enjoy the warmer months and is the perfect cozy spot when the weather turns colder.
The space
Great morning and afternoon light in both bedrooms. Newly renovated European style fireplace that easily warms the place even on the coldest Hudson Valley nights.

Wonderful stay.

We loved the area and it was so comfortable with Everything you could need. Suzanne is a Super Host and she was such a pleasure to meet and spend a little time. We will definitely go back again!

Perfect welcoming spot for us and our dog

perfect in every way. Friendly host couldn't be more helpful. With all the hiking one could hope for right out the door, our dog had a a great time too.We look forward to a return visit soon.

The hospitality shown by the owners were top notch. All of the thoughtful items that were stocked in the property made our stay so much easier. The property was beautiful and the cottage/house is small, but in the best way possible. If you are looking for cozy place to stay close together as a family, look no further. I will definitely looking to come back.

Peaceful haven

The cottage is charming and very comfortable.Susanne goes out of her way to assure her guests have whatever they need! The outdoor space is lovely. I enjoyed morning coffee on the patio and many walks with my dogs in the field and trails. Hope to return soon.

Recharged

A beautiful and quiet spot where we could hear birds and watch the clouds roll in and out. A super friendly and helpful host and a big property for our dog to run around. Just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Plus the cottage was cute, very comfortable and had everything we needed.

wonderful winter break

we had a wonderful time! the cottage was very comfortable and really well-appointed. We made the most of the fireplace and our two dogs loved the access to the field and woods nearby. Susanne, the host, gave us great directions and was super friendly and helpful and we really appreciated the scones,chocolate and fresh local eggs left for us. We made the most of the easy access to the Rhinebeck restaurtants and hikes in the area and would love to come back! Thank you

Blissfully Cozy Getaway

The owners Susanne and Jim are the kindest most accommodating hosts we've ever had. They left us so many treats from scones to apple butter to staples including milk and farm-fresh eggs. The cottage is perfectly appointed with everything you might need for your stay, is immaculately clean, well-decorated, warm, and surprisingly spacious! We came with our reactive dog, Maeby who can be a challenge to travel with, but Susanne and Jim were so understanding. They kept their beautiful, friendly dog Molly on a leash during our stay so that we wouldn't have to stress about our dog freaking out. They even said she could go off-leash on their expansive property if we wanted! They were endlessly generous with firewood because we were obsessed with how cozy the fire made the place feel. Susanne met us upon check-in and said goodbye as we were packing up, very responsive and quick to answer any questions while giving us plenty of privacy. The place was perfect and will certainly be our go-to place whenever we return to the area! Cannot recommend it enough!

Cute, cute, cute!

Such an adorable space with fireplace, nice sized kitchen, two bedrooms, full bath, sun room, and patio! Perfect for 3 adults to spends some time catching up and visiting the local sites. Country setting but 15 min to just about anything. Susanne and Molly were delightful and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

Wonderful and impeccably clean

The cottage is adorable and set on a beautiful lot with a superb outdoor patio. Breakfast was supplied and excellent. Highly recommend to get away and decompress. Very quiet and peaceful.
