You will enjoy having your own home to relax in after a long day of fun! 4 miles from Cedar Point and 1 mile from Sports Force. Train runs near property. Central heating/air conditioning. Ample room for boat trailer parking.

Reunion trip with 8 family members

LOVED the lovely open seating area with 4 huge couches. Loved having an ice maker & keurig. Very clean house. Things to be aware of: 1. no laundry. Totally my fault that I was expecting one as they never claimed to have one. 2. train tracks immediately behind the house. Some fast trains caused house to vibrate, a LOT. This was NOT a problem for me as I grew up in Sandusky! I LOVED it! But if you are light sleepers this could be an issue. 3. Porch steps definitely need to be rebuilt. Very old and splintery wood and a ricketty handrail. Three in our group were in our 70's and 80's. And this posed a safety issue. 4. Same for shower & tub. No safety rail or hand holds. Luckily I travel with one that works by suction so we were able to bathe safely. So maybe not the best of places for seniors to stay. The youngsters in the group had no problems. 5. Storage is an issue. Bedrooms have no closets, dressers, or surfaces on which to lay an open suitcase. Even floor space was quite limited. I put mine on a blanket basket and my husband's was on the floor. We are both in our 70's so not very convenient. Also no room for food storage for dry goods (cereal, etc) except top of fridge or the small counter. We ate in a lot. The fridge is new and spacious. 6. Location: both a convenience and a problem. VERY convenient to CEDAR POINT but at times VERY difficult to get out onto Cleveland rd safely. U- shaped drive is huge help. Overall, we had a GREAT time. But maybe not great for boomers.

Ample space in a great location

We booked 3 nights for a family excursion to Cedar Point and Put-in-Bay. The house is very convenient for both and literally a 5 minute drive from the park. It is clean and nicely renovated and was roomy enough for all of us with plenty of bathrooms to meet our needs. The kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils, dishes, and pans, and there was coffee available. There is a train that runs just behind the property and a road in front…but the available floor fans on medium provided enough white noise to cut this so even a light sleeper like me could rest well. Access to a washer and dryer would be the only thing I might suggest to the host. It’s a common provision and something my family usually needs. Traveling with young children is always a mess in the works…we had a lot of soaking rain during our adventures and no way to wash or dry anything…and using the same towels for more than a couple days gets a little iffy, with the level of humidity the towels weren’t drying between use and some were quite wet by day 3. Overall it was comfortable stay and would work well for a large group.

Cozy and Spacious

This house was everything we needed and more! Group of 10 visiting Cedar Point for the weekend and this home offered us enough beds and bathrooms to fit the bill! Minutes from the park.. Owners were very attentive to every need of ours all the way down to allowing us to check in early and dropping us off a fire ring/pit upon request the next day!! Very nice and accommodating.. will definitely look to stay here again!!

We have lived in the area all our lives and enjoy everything Sandusky has to offer. We like hosting because we love providing guests with a clean, comfortable, spacious home to stay in while visiting the area. We know how expensive it would be to get enough hotel rooms to accommodate 10 people and we love that our home is a more affordable option.

We chose this area for BFF's Farmhouse because of the location. It is only 5 minutes from Cedar Point and Sports Force. In addition, it is located only 10 minutes from Kalahari and Great Wolf Lodge. There are lots of places to shop and dine in the area also. Downtown Sandusky is a wonderful place to sight see, shop, dine or catch a boat to the islands!

When we remodeled the home, we completely gutted and reconfigured the space to make it open concept. We wanted to make sure we had enough bathrooms to accommodate 10 people so we put in two and a half bathrooms. The living room has 4 couches so that everyone has a place to sit and relax. The dining table was handmade and has seating for all 10 people. We love the loft area that is located upstairs. We felt like kids would have a blast with their siblings or friends sleeping in that area. We wanted a fun theme and after we painted it black and white, it just felt like a farmhouse so we had so much fun decorating it in farm style.
