Wonderful House!

This was a perfect place to stay! So beautiful & historical. We loved the extra-high ceilings & the old doors & the spacious kitchen. We came to visit a new baby so it was an exciting time. My sister is a first-time Grammy (her youngest daughter had the baby) and the 2 other daughters came in Saturday to stay the night. Everyone was loving the games & the king-sized beds. We were very comfortable.Thank you for being a wonderful host. I’m sure there will be many more “baby trips” to Jackson so we will stay again!

Very nice older home.

We loved the house. I like how it is easy to get around the house, very open. The game room was a nice way to relax before going to bed. Easy to find and pretty quiet too. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

Amazing Home away from Home

The historical home was as advertised. We had excellent communication with the host, Steven.The home was very accommodating our 5 kids ranging from 4 to 17 years old, my wife and myself. It truly felt like a home away from our home. We hope the next time we take a getaway to Jackson that this home will be available to us. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with our family!!

Great stay in Jackson, TN

We were passing through Jackson on our way south. Steven's place was perfect. Right on our route, lots of parking, easy-in, clean and spacious. I'll stay again if I'm in Jackson.

Family visit

This is a neat old home, the small touches inside makes it feel like home. Pictures of Jackson and old buildings with explanations of what it is now was cool to see and look at. Beds are comfortable. Game room was fun to play in with family.

Lots of Character & Space!

We came to Jackson to visit our daughter who goes to Union University, and the house fit us perfectly. Lots of historic character. The bedrooms are spacious & comfortable. Good usable kitchen & laundry. The bathrooms are smaller but totally what you’d expect with an older home. Comfortable family & dining room. Communication with the host was quick & easy. Very attentive. The coffee bar was so great!!! Lots of coffee & creamer provided. There is a significant amount of road noise & sirens through the night (since it’s close to the hospital), but it didn’t bother us. The house doesn’t have any lamps, just overhead lights….that’s probably the thing I liked the least, but not major. Thanks for a great stay!

Unique, Spacious

One of the fun things about staying in a home/house instead of staying in a generic hotel room is opening the door of a property and discovering what's inside. Historic Highland was especially fun because the interior is a bit like a circular maze, with one room leading on into another and then another and another. If you are looking for a spacious home for a family or friend group that is also pet-friendly, this would be an ideal property. The beds are comfy, the kitchen has plenty of space for "gathering" and the bonus is a dedicated dining room. A minor downside is the size of the bathrooms (there are two full and one that has only a toilet) - but this is an old home so that's to be expected. A suggestion: add bedside lamps (some of us love to read in bed) and a floor or table lamp in the living area. The overhead lights are really harsh.Incidentals: off-street, large parking space, quiet neighborhood for walking dogs. Game room where I rediscovered I am very bad at 1980s-era video games...

Beautiful Historic House

My family and I stayed for a wedding over Thanksgiving weekend. I was very pleased with all accommodations! Beds are very comfy, sheets soft, 4 pillows on each bed. Coffee bar with 3 different type of coffee and creamer. Full kitchen set up and ready to cook for a family. It was so cold and I was worried the house would be drafty. Not the case at all! No cold drafts and the heater worked great!!! My son’s favorite part was the game room! It was so nice having the game room for them so I could actually relax!! Location is perfect for Jackson. So many things within walking distance and within 5-10 min drive. If we ever need to stay in Jackson again, this will be where I stay!

Nice Place with Historical Touch

Very clean home with plenty of space and nice amenities. It is next to a main road with usual traffic noise but mostly quiet throughout the night. The home was comfortable and owners are very nice.

Pictures can be deceiving

Dirty. Hair in showers. Cobwebs. Smelly. Needs updated. Shower is not for old people. Bed broke. House needs a makeover. The host is accommodating and responsive.

Union Reunion

Overall the property worked well but there was an issue with no electrical outlets in the bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and for us the location was great. Steve was terrific with communication and we appreciated that.

Feels Like Home

My husband and I have stayed in this beautiful home twice and I have to say it feels like home. The host is so kind and made us feel welcomed during our stay. It’s just been a blessing to find this historical home to stay in during our travels throughout Tennessee. The neighbors were so kind to us as well. I highly recommend this spacious home, it’s a lovely place to stay.
