Moving to Florida

We stayed here because we needed a place to live while we settled here in Florida. We wanted to cement our jobs and find an apartment. This property was perfect for that. The location made it easy for us to try new restaurants visit ones we are familiar with and we had quick access to a grocery store right down the street. I do however feel that if you want to stay here there are a couple things you need to know.There is no full size cooking pot, we are from the Midwest and spaghetti is everything but we had to use the sauce pan for both the meat and the noodles.Lastly there are bugs. We are clean and extremely understanding people but I saw one too many roaches for my comfort and the ants are constant no matter what I do. I also want to voice the amount of No-see-ums is alarming. The bites these bugs leave are horribly itchy and long lasting bites.Again, we loved loved our stay and I complete understand that with the climate here comes bugs but this is the first property I have experienced bugs in this amount.

Worst travel experience of my life

We booked 3 nights, to attend a celebration of life for my friends mother. Arrived at 1130pm after 8 hours of traveling-walk-in to a 78 degree, dirty property. Sponge used as a door stop outside. Front door just disgusting, couch had stains all over it, bathroom had old soap chunks in tub, hair in tub , porcelain chips in tub, no drain cover in tub. Paint and spackle splatter everywhere, A LOT of paint . Lock on uncovered sliding door (all neighbors can see inside). A random trash speaker outback. I was willing to deal with all of that , albeit not happy but whatever.. the kicker- when I almost fell off the toilet due to it not being properly tightened to the floor. That was it. Breaking point for me. By 1am I was on w VRBO as well as local hotels. Couldn’t get into a hotel until 3pm..displaced for 4 hours, over 1000 miles from home during celebration of life services! Literally such a horrific experience! The owner even sent an email apologizing and saying I helped her realize her property wasn’t ready for people. Never again w VRBO. TONS of Pictures & videos to back up everything I’ve written .
