This cabin is exactly as advertised. It is very close to Mount Snow and convenient to restaurants on Rte 100. It is indeed old, but functional. The kitchen area is well stocked with all necessities, with a nice dining area. The living space has a fireplace that is supplied with both logs and firestarters for you. The negatives are that the furniture is both old and not very well set up for a large group to sit in the living 'room'. There is a couch and coffee table and then there are a few chairs set up in the corners of the room. The biggest negative for us was that the house is very dark. The lighting is mainly small table lamps or floor lamps, that do not provide much light, especially upstairs in the bedrooms, but most inconvenient in the living room. The heat is also 'iffy' it turns on and provides heat immediately but it is difficult to control, making it either too hot quickly or to cold, I think the reason being that the outside doors don't close well and are drafty. If this sounds like a bad review, it is most definately not. I just wanted to point out things that you don't get from the photos. We really enjoyed out stay here, and would absolutely stay here again. the dealings with Maria were always prompt and professional. The house was very clean, paper towels, toilet paper provided. It is in a great location and we enjoyed hiking in the snow in the woods right behind the cabin. It is reasonably priced, and well suited to a family or group of 7, (the single bed in the loft area was really "iffy", actually the whole loft area kind of creaked when you walked on it). All in all, we had a great time in this cabin, and would highly recommend staying here.
