Ski trip

We travelled to Blowing Rock for my husband's birthday and to ski. The home is beautiful, spacious and has everything you could need. Our daughter is attending App State and the location is very close to downtown Boone which made it convenient and 30 mins to Sugar mountain for skiing.

Great Thanksgiving Getaway

Beautiful mountain home that is well suited for large families. The kitchen is well stocked and loved the fireplaces. Beautiful furnishings which made for a comfortable stay. There is plenty of space for a large family to spread out. We will definitely be back.

Perfect family House

When you visit this house you will be impressed with how large it is and how easy it is for everyone to be entertained and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and large enough for several to prepare meals. There are three different family rooms and multiple TVs for everyone's enjoyment

Exceptionally clean, comfortable and convenient home!

My wife and I stayed for four weeks in July with family bringing us up to 8-9 guests at times. I have been vacationing here for over 30 years and this is the most clean, comfortable and convenient home I have rented. Among the highlights were a large well equipped kitchen with bar seating for 5-6 adults and open to the dining area and family room. Three a/c thermostats so the great room could get direct sunlight and still be cool without freezing out other rooms. Bathrooms all nicely updated. One car garage with both a remote and keypad - especially nice when it was rainy. Plenty of room for 2-3 cars to park and maneuver. The home was also exceptionally well stocked with cleaning/paper supplies and extra sheets, towels, etc. Very private, in the woods with regular visits from deer that are very unfazed by human visitors. Expansive deck with a couple of nice, albeit limited, views. Cleaning person came twice due to our extended stay and was very thorough. The owner was super responsive to the very few issues we encountered - I have rented through management companies and it is not the same. Finally, a great location equally convenient to Boone or Blowing Rock but off the main roads on its own little street!

Private and secluded cabin only two miles from Boone

Awesome house for a getaway. Perfectly sited. You'll feel like you're alone on a mountain top, but all of the attractions in Boone are just a short drive away (and Blowing Rock is not much farther). Really hoping we're fortunate enough to stay again, and can't recommend highly enough. Outstanding listing!

Wonderful Home! Nancy (owner) was very responsive and pleasant. Home was found to be spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully detailed. Every characteristic seemed attended to in a favorable manner… from plenty of plush towels, comfy nice linens and beds, every kitchen utensil one would need in meal prep and more! Very nicely furnished and assesorized… The furnishings are high end yet comfortable inside and out ~ including the abundance of seating options on the decks. Hot tub was great~ temperature perfect, clean and inviting with plenty of room. I especially appreciated and valued the faith based affirmations. What a bonus blessing and affirmation!!! My birthday celebration

Our group was family and friends getting together for a long weekend, coming from England, Ohio and Florida. The accommodation was very spacious and worked brilliantly to enabled small groups of people to have a quiet conversation in various spots both inside and outside. As others have mentioned the kitchen was amazing with every gadget imaginable! And we never did count up exactly how many sofas there were! Many of our group were new to the area and found it amazingly beautiful with lots to see and do. (We had no need to be in touch with the property manager although we did have trouble with one or two of the TVs but that might just have been us!)

Amazing property and location!

This is the nicest mountain home I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, kitchen and bathrooms appear recently updated, the decks are beautiful. The owners have thought of everything you could need. Love the location, just a 5 min drive to downtown Boone or blowing rock. Looking forward to booking this property again.

Extremely Pleased

Drive to home is very easy. We were greeted by deer in the driveway. The home is very quiet, very clean, and full of amenities. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms very clean. Whole house is roomy. We enjoyed playing pool in the entertainment room and the hot tub on the huge porch. Private and peaceful. Kitchen is stocked with everything. The mountain View from the top deck east is beautiful. We hiked everyday, and the location of the home couldn’t be better between Boone and Blowing Rock. What a beautiful area. We would stay here again. Easy check in and check out. Beautifully decorated and touches that it a home not a house.

A perfect mountain retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. Everything was clean and exactly as advertised. The layout was perfect for our family. The grandparents were able to stay in the huge primary bedroom on the upper level while the parents and children had their own 3 bedroom/2 full bath space on the lower level. The home is so conveniently located to both Boone and Blowing Rock. The two decks have great views and were the perfect place for the adults to visit after the little ones were in bed.

Mountain Blessings Cabin

Our family had a wonderful time staying in this home located between Boone and Blowing Rock, NC. The house was so nice, spacious, clean, had a well-stocked kitchen and it was decorated nicely for fall. Loved the home as well as how quiet and peaceful where it is located. A beautiful place to enjoy our Thanksgiving as family! An excellent hostess! Nancy was so nice, extremely responsive to inquires as well as accommodating. Will definitely want to rent this beautiful home again for another family vacation!

Far exceeded already high expectations

Where to begin? This house was amazing! We've rented lots of homes over the years, and I think this one tops the list for us. Checked every box! Clean, well stocked with EVERYTHING we could possibly need, beautiful views, spacious, comfy, and so much fun for our extended family getaway weekend. The host was so very helpful and answered our questions right away. Truly, they've thought of everything to make their beautiful home a comfortable retreat. We came to spend time with our kids and grandkids to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. We arrived on a dreary, dark, rainy, foggy night and thank goodness for great directions! (TIP - we'd ordered a grocery delivery from Instacart ahead of time, so need to trek back down the mountain in the rain for dinner!) The kitchen? My goodness, so well stocked it almost became a game of "I bet they don't have THAT! Wait, here it is!" Next morning we were treated to breathtaking views (too dark to appreciate them when we arrived) and spent a fun day exploring Blowing Rock and Boone. We returned to the cabin at the end of a fun day, and used the grill, the hot tub, and the firepit all in one night! And the pool table was always hopping! We had so much fun hanging out at the house, we really didn't feel much need to be going out and doing a lot. Sunday morning brought us the unexpected treat of a fresh dusting of snow! It was beautiful! And we had a huge family of deer visit several times - they seemed to feel right at home, and one even came very, very close to my youngest grandson who was trying to coax him/her to come closer. It was almost magical. There were only 7 of us, and we could've easily had twice that many folks in this home comfortably. I hope to return again, for a longer stay!!

Our family has been spending every Christmas for the last 10 years in the Carolina Mountains!! We are a family of four. Our boys are ages 21 and 14. As you can imagine, we really enjoy the mountains. Our favorite thing to do when we are in North Carolina is choosing and cutting our Christmas tree. Every year we visit the Brown farm and pick out our tree. Being from Florida, this is such a memorable experience for us. We also de to spend quality time with family and friends.

We chose this house mainly because of its location. After having spent many vacations in the area, we realized that location was very important. It is in such a unique area. We are literally minutes away from Boone and Historic Downtown Blowing Rock. You are close to all the attractions this area has to offer. One of the best benefits is that you are on Appalachian Ski Mountain. You are minutes away from the lifts. Also, you will find all of the area restaurants, grocery stores, and many places of interest.

This house is nestled at the end of a road which gives you a lot of privacy. The house has windows and sliding doors in all the bedrooms and living rooms. This means you have a view of the mountains from every room you are in. The fireplace is my personal favorite. It is such an inviting room to relax, read a book, or just take a nap. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck seems to be a favorite spot for everyone that visits. The views and the wildlife are very inviting. The house sits on over two acres so you have plenty of room to wonder around. Our children love to go exploring in the surrounding woods.
