No refund for closed hotel.

It was not amazing as the hotel was closed and had no date to re open and then they wouldn’t get back to me regarding the payment. They said I had to pay the full amount. How can you be charged for a holiday you can’t take. Hotel is disgusting.

Clean and tidy Continental breakfast a bit limited and is a help yourself, no staff there at all Wasn't aware when I booked that there isn't someone on reception all the time

no staff! we ending up checking in overt he phone with the manager. place was in complete darkness, appeared abandoned until we knock on the window round the side and found a guy. staircase filled with unused furniture- death trap at the top of the stairs. beds were comfortable and showers were nice. cleanliness could definitely be improved. breakfast was laid out, not lights on and no staff any where!

Called the hotel at 8pm prior to my arrival to check my booking. Staff member confirmed that they were expecting me. Arrived at hotel 2 hours later to find front door locked. Could see the reception desk but no staff anywhere. There was a telephone number on the door for deliveries/guests to call. Called number and could hear phone ringing inside on reception but no answer. Called a further six times over the next 25 minutes but still no answer. Checked building for any other entrance but front reception looked to be the only way in. Managed to get booked into another hotel close by called the Kings Arms who were extremely helpful, but ended up costing an additional £72.00 for the night. I called into the Hampton Court hotel the next morning at 8am to find out why I was unable to get in and make sure I am not going to be charged, but on arrival found the front door locked and no one present at reception. I phoned several times while standing outside but still no answer. I called many more times throughout the day but have not managed to get any answer whatsoever. Maybe someone from your team could try and establish contact, as I would like to make sure I am not going to be charged.

Stood outside for almost 5 minutes as nobody to open the door. A guy answered but couldn’t check us in so called the boss who told me our rooms & to mind the furniture on the top floor. Navigated our way through the small gaps and past fire extinguishers propping open fire doors to our rooms. Initially thought all was ok but floor had not been hoovered, dust on table and drink marks as well. Bathroom was clean and shower was good, comfy bed as well. Would have had a good nights sleep if it wasn’t for the room being lit up by the gap under the door letting the hallway light in. Breakfast was like check in, self service except no lights were on, no staff around to explain. we managed to find our way around, almost had the croissants but decided against it as they were 3 days out of date. Didn’t dare touch the eggs and meat in the fridge, thought the apple juice would be safest. All in all, a comical nights stay but I wouldn’t come back in a hurry!

Terrible Hotel

We booking a Double room 11 months ago as we had my niece’s wedding at Hampton Court House. The hotel was in an ideal place and from the website looked nice and we paid the full price. On the day we phone the hotel to inform you that we may be checking in a bit late. The website said that someone would be there until 7pm. On arriving at 6.15pm the hotel was in darkness & front door locked, no one answered the door or phone number provided. Finally after obtaining the owners number, he informed us that we were in room 8 but this room key had been taken by someone else so told use to take Room 1 key. This turned out to be a twin room and not a double which we had booked. The website said the rooms were luxurious, this cannot be further from the truth. The bedding was stained, had dirt marks on and was torn, paint peeling off the window cill & mould in the bathroom. The mattresses and paper thin duvets looked like they had not been changed for years and the whole décor was very cheap looking. The website in my view is totally misleading and embellished to entice custom.

Ideal New Year stay

Very friendly and comfortable, a little quirky but ideal for our one night stay. Would definitely use again in the future. Very good value for the location.

Amazing stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend HC Hotel to anyone. The staff were fabulous and very attentive. Rooms were lovely and clean. We had the £5 lunch and that was out of this world ! Proximity to bars etc was excellent and you are only a stones throw from Hampton Court Palace. A big thank you to all the team. We I’ll be back

HC Hampton Court Hotel

I was initailly worried by the exterior of the hotel but once inside our room it was basic but very good. The only real downside was the free WiFi was non-existent, I could not connect in any area of the hotel. Currently the hotel is only providing a continental breakfast option but there are plans to change this in the new year. Overall the hotel was good value for money and in an excellent location.

It’s a check yourself in hotel, although odd, it’s not much of a problem but road noise is!! I was in Room 2 and the road noise is extremely loud in the room, almost like the windows were open! Bad nights sleep so obviously cannot recommend👎

When I arrived I saw someone on reception, but after that there was no one on reception for the reminder of my stay, when I left I had to find a member of staff to check out. There was no staff around during breakfast.

Fine for one night

Fine for one night. Room was nice and warm and clean. Just outdated and basic but perfect for one night if visiting local attractions.Breakfast was very basic.

Good Value but not quality

The price here was the main attraction. £63 for B&B and free parking is excellent. Place was easy to find via Google and the guy I met on arrival was friendly and helpful. First impression of the room was that it is a good size, with double bed. After a little while, some issues started to appear. 1. Window opened up onto the main road. It was noisy and it woked me up several times 2. Closing the window just made the room hot 3. Window in the bathroom did not shut properly so it was freezing in there 4. Room had not been properly cleaned with dust in a number of places - see pic I found the bed to be too hard for my tastes, but appreciate that this is down to preference. I was met at breakfast the next morning by a guy who just told me to help myself. Mainly all that was available was cereal and some toast. I wasn't offered any cooked breakfast at all and indeed after I have finished I couldn't find anybody to speak to either. I came down to check out couldn't find anybody at reception ,can't find anybody in the kitchen or the restaurant so I just left my keys on the counter and had to leave without getting a receipt. I think it might be alright if you're coming to visit Hampton Court what all the area but for a business person despite the very good value that it offers it isn't actually that an attractive place to stay so I wouldn't be staying here again.
