Friendly cheap budget hotel with no frills

I have just returned from a 6 night stay at Al Waleed Palace Apartment Al Barsha Dubai I the staff were lovely very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them especially Naresh who looked after our apartment every day he came with clean towels and made sure it was kept clean and tidy. However the problems lie with the furniture and decor the whole place could do with a major refurbishment the apartment was well equipped but the sofas were ripped and thread bare and uncomfortable the bathroom doors we damaged and although the towels and bedding were clean they were old and well used. The poolside was nice but quite small luckily we were the only ones using it during our stay but there was a lack of sun loungers and no chairs so I can’t imagine what it would be like if it was busy as there’s no where to sit and only 3 umbrellas. On the plus side the apartments are in a very good location 10 min walk the Mall of Emirates and at least 3 little supermarkets close by one literally across the road which we used quite a bit. On the whole I would say it is a budget hotel go with an open mind don’t expect too much and use it as a base as we did and we weren’t disappointed. If you want luxury it’s not the place to be but for the price and location it was worth what we paid. Maybe they should consider dropping the “palace” from the title as a palace it isn’t haha

The staff were very friendly and helpful The appliances needed repair but the staff made up for what is necessary to use. I will definitely go back to the hotel and stay when I’m in Dubai. I will also recommend it to my friends and families

Super séjour, le service top. Pour toutes interrogations les employés sont présents, aimables rien à dire. Appartement fait tout les jours par le service de ménage mais propreté du sol à revoir. J’avai Mon fils de 10 mois a quartes pattes et je peux vous assurez que le sol était pas propre. La piscine a besoin d’un énorme coup de neuf. Il y’a 5 transat dont deux h.s

Home in Dubai

My 2nd time in this hotel very spacious and safe grocery store across the street and washer in the apartment big kitchen friendly staff ,safe as being alone both times i felt at home there. Cabs pull up outside night club in hotel next door pharmacy in walking distance. Two bathrooms In each room room cleaning includes dishes being washed 😍 stayed 2weeks first time and 12 days second visit

The Property is definitely not a 4* . The apartments are the same condition as they were 2 years ago when i stayed there. They need maintenance pest control (bugs flies etc.) Bad Smell in the Apartment from the Furniture, Chairs for the dining table have crusted food on them it looked like they had not been cleaned in months. I booked for 4 days after not being able to extend at another hotel because it was booked. The couches in the hotel are ripped stained and old. The Cable is just a free satellite with hundreds of channels that you have to search in. Not like a hotel with a list of channels. The internet is bad and each apartment has a small router on the table you have to reset every once in a while to get the connection working. There are small flies that constantly get in your hair or on your food (this was the same 2 years ago. ) Over all this property needs some maintenance and staff needs training none of them smile at you or look at you etc. They speak to you like your not in front of them. Several more issues too many to list.

The staff are brilliant (every one of them) BUT the property needs serious renovation as the furniture / appliances are dated and malfunctioning. Shabir was brilliant and so were every single staff member, but the problem is clearly at the owners quarter as they are responsible to invest to replace damaged furniture and appliances urgently (cooker, fridge etc)

Enkelt, smidigt och prisvärt.

Enklare mindre lägenhetshotell med närhet till Mall of Emirates. På grund av bygge på granntomten var hotellet vid vårt besök bullerstört och delvis var närområdet en byggarbetsplats med avsaknad av t.ex. trottoarer. Poolen var ej uppvärmd och mycket begränsat antal solstolar. Rymlig lägenhet med dubbla toaletter med en dusch. Dygnet runt service för både reception och städpersonal om något behövdes. WiFi med bra uppkopplingshastighet ingick.

Not worth the money we paid, pictures advertised are good 5 year old, everything is tired and need upgrade. No heating system for swimming pool so not uselfull for kids, sofa torn, bathroom with rusty paperwork, damaged doors, we were only provided with bath towels most of which were over due to be retired, staff was helpful though. In short will not recommend this property for the rent asked.

Excellent place for the amount that you pay. Huge apartments. The staff was very good and helpful. The property is near the Mall of Emirates. A taxi will cost you around 12 AED to MoE. No Complaints at all.

Overall nice experience.

Special thanks to Security Guard ‘Raj’ for his politeness and very helpful behaviour. He is the one who helped us check in at 7am. Spacious apartment. Staff is very helpful. Taxi easily available outside the hotel. Wifi is no so good as you might need to restart the modem again and again. Overall very good experience.
