Hotel lacked accessibility which was problematic during our stay. The virtual front of house staff was less than courteous given the time of year when thousands of college kids are moving into their dorms and thusly staying in hotels- going shopping etc. very displeased with basic human kindness. A prime example of sterile american capitalism.

Great hotel!!

We really enjoyed staying at The Maverick by Kasa. It was such a cool atmosphere, easy self check-in, and trendy. Our room was just as pictured and super cute! We also loved that there was free overnight parking on the weekend (and cheap price throughout the day). Would definitely go back!

Easy Breezy Stay

Another amazing stay at The Maverick. My daughter and I stayed here last year and this year did not disappoint. Easy check in and check out. Friendly staff. Easy to find lot parking.

Super nice room. It was strange not having staff in the lobby. The lobby felt strangely empty and bare in general. Having to pay for public parking during my stay was not ideal.

A great find

This hotel was in a perfect area. Not smack dab in the city but in a perfect area close to drive in. Even though it isn’t located in the city there were so many restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel. We were lucky to be staying when there was a very knowledgable and friendly front desk staff to tell us of great places to go! Rooms were clean and very cute! We will also be using the Maverick for any stay in PA!

I liked the both historical and technophile vibe of the hotel: codes instead of room keys, convenient web app, minimal staff. One minor downside: no pool or gym. There are homeless people around the neighboring church, they are peaceful though.

For reserving at the last minute it was a bit hectic in trying to figure out what I needed to do since it was virtual. And I did not get an email at first. This is a remodeled YMCA (I believe) and has such a cool vibe! While the check in process is virtual only, it is very convenient and they are very responsive if you do have questions. Additionally, there is someone onsite at the front desk if you need anything. I was worried about safety initially (with virtually check in process) but have stayed there three times now and it’s actually great!!

Such a lovely hotel!! I ended up planning a last-minute trip to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving and needed a very cheap option (but wanted to make sure that it was still safe, as I was traveling alone) and this was by far the best hotel that I found! It's not quite the traditional hotel room and instead feels very modern (the bed is much lower to the ground and the entire check-in process was done online/through a kiosk instead of with a hotel employee, for instance), but it worked perfectly for my trip! During one of the days there was a representative of the hotel present in the building, and she was so friendly and provided lots of local recommendations! There were also a few coffee shops, a cute brunch place, a library, and even a boxing studio (!!) within walking distance! I really enjoyed my stay and will certainly stay here again when I return to Pittsburgh!
